Shangri-la
Skyscrapers
Now Or Never
The Negotiator

The only songs I'll revisit. It was good to see Sam Sneed back in the mix though, he co-produced 3 songs

Nah I disagree. 'GNX' is not a "trap" album Lol.... it has influences from all over, from all different eras but still manages to sound modern.

This album sounds modern but in the worst possible way. It sounds like some inoffensive shyt that white people can play over the holidays :mjlol:
sounds like garbage commercial break music. i can't believe they pushed this as a follow up

I can point out things on Robert Glasper's christmas album like that about the timing being off with the drums, but that's a part of music that only musicians know. The average fan can't tell the difference between an F# and a D flat. If you listen to Enter the 36 chambers, hardly any of that is right, but it's a classic flawless album. Questlove always disses 36 chambers and Cuban Linx because he's a musician and that's funny considering the Roots has never made any albums that come close to those 2.
disses? he bigs up cuban linx all the time on his podcast

he just did a whole 2 part interview with RZA and even got into the guitar centre beat and it was all love.

I’d like to revise my earlier comparison, as there was a spelling mistake. It’s more appropriate to say that this album is Snoop & Dre’s…

We used to say dre didnt really deserve to be on all time lists because he only had 2 albums...well now we can officially say Dre has just as many bad albums than good ones.
:comeon: WTF no one ever said that. I’ve never seen anyone rate Dre as a rapper only a producer. And he’s produced multiple albums. He produced 3 albums in 88 for example and 2 are certified classics

:picard: THAT MIGHT BE METHS
GREATEST VERSE EVER

Not sure if this is sarcasm but Meth keeps getting these features but it’s rare that his flow doesn’t sound outdated to me with the corny punches. :hubie: Red & Meth got to tap out.

The problem with this album is the problem with most big albums that come out in hip hop these days.

I just wanna hear a simple loop, melody with some new elements added on top. This is what made 2001 so dope. U can hum every single beat to that album.

These new albums, the beat will change every minute, have a million different elements, the drums will drop out too often. I don't wanna hear that theatre shyt on audio, this is why I couldn't fukk with kendrick Mr stepper album.

Not just that but the whole short movie was corny as fukk. They got them shooting up a white man touching a young black girl like they didn't make a whole career off glorifying pimping them selves which completely exploits young black girls who got caught up in the game same way.
