Sounds like I'm a little younger than you guys and didn't have to experience the brunt of the dark ages, but great thread. :wow:

i will never forget trying to download a full dbz movie on my 28.8k modem only for the d/l to stop and the file to be corrupted at 98 percent :snoop:

shyt was like 400 mb and i can't even remember how many god damn hours i spent on it :yayo:

finding out about d/l managers that could resume d/ls was the greatest thing ever

also cuz you could go on those free porn clip sites and load up a queue of like 30-40 clips that were 5 seconds long each :skip:

the best dial-up moment for me was when my older brother and i found the SSJ2 Goku vs. Majin Vegeta fight on the internet, while Cartoon Network was only showing the Cell saga (i think).

it was like 15 clips at 30 or so seconds each. each one took like 10 minutes or more to download. we sat there and downloaded that whole fight. :ahh:

nah, discovering the "continuous loop" function on Windows Media Player (the old school joint) was the greatest thing ever. turned a 10-second preview clip into however long i needed it to be :myman:

The memories. :dead:

I used to sneak in the computer lab and turn up all of the speakers when the computers were off.

Chilled by the door and when everybody came in and turned them on when the proffessor instructed them to BOOOOM there goes the dynamite.

The good ol days. :ahh:

:heh:
