True. Plenty of successful bad actors. Mark Wahlberg, Terrence Howard, Anne Hathaway, etc. :ehh:

J Lo :troll:
Most blockbuster actors is 98% eye candy to their respectful genders.

Megan Fox
Scarlett Johansson
Channing Tatum
etc....

There only a handul of real actors and actresses I respect for their actual acting abilities

Chiwetel Ejiofor is one of my favorites.

Still waiting on Michael K. Williams to get that breakthrough role for him to really show his acting chops

He didn't say anything that isn't true. When Kinison was doing stand up, no one really enjoyed his screaming bit. The guy dies and all of a sudden he's a genius. Hence why Paula Shore made "Paula Shore is Dead", literally a mock movie about the very same syndrome people go through. Ala Heath Ledger etc,

Even Timberland said she didn't have much range but she had catchy beats and great hooks. Motherfukkers act like she was singing all 7 ranges.

wrong. He said if Aaliyah practiced her voice as much as Beyoncé did, she would be just as a good singer as her.

Beyoncé wasn't singing that good when Aaliyah was alive. She had to get vocal lessons to sound like she does today

imma be honest, Tinashe does a better version of Aaliyah than Aaliyah did. Plus she has better vocals, the better dancer and writes her own music.

Tinashe>Aaliyah
Tinashe's voice sucks.

Y'all sleepin on Aaliyah's vocals

Tinashe, Ciara, Cassie, or them other broads y'all compare her to never sang this good.
Aaliyah could go low like toni Braxton and then take it to that high pitch falsetto shyt she used to do. Good range she had, especially since she died young.

The last link is a song she had to perform for Whitney Houston, and Whitney gave her the stamp of approval.

But she didn't, she was fine being her wheelhouse of catchy beats and hooks, hence my original point. She had all the time to get to some ranges, but she was no Mariah Carey.

All those chicks you listened would be scared shytless to sing the National Anthem at a stadium. Not because they're anti-America, it's because they're scared to get exposed and clowned about their true vocals. They're all whisper singers. Tinashe has sang the Nation Anthem.

:umad:

lets see Aaliyah and Janet replicate that. All the good singers have sang the national anthem at packed stadiums.

Her vocals were getting better each album. And she only died @ 22 with just three albums. Two of which were recorded when she was under 18. You act like homegirl was around for 20 years, and put out an entire catalogue of music. Who knows what Aaliyah would have sounded like today in 2015.

lol. Homie I know you didn't watch all those videos that quick.

Funny how you clown Aaliyah for being a "whisperer" but her voice was actually stronger and more powerful than Tinashe's.

Aaliyah did the national anthem @ 14, and did it better than a full grown Tinashe.

T-Pain didn't say that people ballooned Aaliyah into genius or icon status after she died. He was getting at how people act like her music is off limits because she's dead. Like no one should be compared to her. All of this is in regard to the reaction he got for trying to sample her voice. It wasn't even about him saying "Aaliyah is overrated". It was about him saying that people treat her as untouchable because she's dead. That's a legitimate argument because a lot of artists have gotten a :pacspit: response from fans and family of deceased artists whose music they sample/tried to sample.

Yall gotta chill,I fukk wit Tinashe and Aaliyah:whoa:.....And I cant honestly say Aaliyah sang that better:comeon:

But like you said earlier, what she had was soul, she sang that shyt laid back like she wasn't even trying and had a nikka touched:mjcry:.....Aaliyah just had that shyt few women do,she had that swag yall:banderas:...no forced or manufactured bullshyt, natural charisma even while being laid back....that shyt makes stars,i don't care how many videos people bring of her not killing it as vocally as others, she didn't have too:pachaha:

And TImbaland talkin shyt,he cant say practicing would've made her as good a singer as Beyoncé,Brandy,Whitney,Mariah or whoever else....Some people have a higher ceiling than others, but people forget how young Aaliyah was, nobody knows her ceiling....some singers have god given talent, some can practice enough where they sounds almost like its god given, and some will just always be decent/presentable if they practice.....If she could sing as good as she did without practicing I think she could've definitely reached that level where her singing sounded close to god given.

T-Pain worded it in a disrespectful way, and that's what has people tight. I see what he is saying, and it would have come through clearer if he didn't come off like an a$$hole and disrespectful to the girl he just sampled.

Bingo. The number one missing in the music industry today: SOUL.

You can't manufacture it. No matter how many singing lessons you put your 3 year old daughter through, and no matter how well she sings at the age of 10, maybe even rivaling Mariah, she doesn't have the ONE thing that makes music worth it: SOUL.

It's intangible but it's there and is the most important ingredient in art, period.
