Breh this is silly. Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet. Just because a rapper says a line comparing their money to these public figures, don't mean they are backing them or their agenda's. It's rap music. It would be different if the lines were of substance and containing commentary biggin up the person's agenda or character. These are throwaway rap platitudes.

But neither Bill Gates or Warren Buffet were involved in situations that involved some sort of racial divide on numerous occasions tho.

Elaborate.

"Put Ya In Da Game" by Fat Joe:
Cause ya boy's in a slump
I took her out of the jets
The top floor of the trump
Had to hustle hard

Breh fukking referenced a damn building...:stopitslime:

“We Gon’ Make It” by Diddy feat. Jack Knight
“I spend absurd money, private bird money/That Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Bloomberg money.”

Thats just referencing as a rich guy, doesn't mean anything at all. I wouldn't be surprised if Diddy had a relationship with Trump but these lyrics don't mean shyt at all, its hardly an endorsement.

So you're holding entertainers, most having little knowledge or education to lofty standards of social & political awareness and morality? Breh just be happy if the line is slick, clever, rhymes, and is delivered with dopeness on beat.

Lol. You serious, breh?
Lol but on some real shyt rappers look at these figures the way wrestling fans look at heels. Dumb as shyt when you think about it but we're not dealing with the smartest people either. They're not really worried about how they rose to fame and power. They just love the thought of being in that position. If you shamed every rapper for rapping about every evil person they wanted to be, you'd wipe out a lot of personas and albums.

shyt, I'm surprised nobody has tried to wanna be ISIS or Boko Haram the way Juelz was name dropping Mohammed Atta when he was first out

But after 1989 there should have been some sort of restraint towards acknowledging a rich white man who has shown thru action that he aint thinking about Black folks like that at all. Slave owners were wealthy too, do we go around acknowledging slave oweners?? That example might be a lil over the top in comparison but it falls in the category not acknowledging white men who have proven they dont give a fukk about us.

They are just talking about a famous billionaire/baller.
He's been Americas most known famous billionaire/baller, so therefore he's referenced the most.

People reference Bill Gates too but he's not a baller, out fukking models nor a charismatic dude , if he was he'd be referenced even more. And don't forget that he was a democrat from the late 90s until Obama. Russell is saying that he might just be playing a game cause all he wants to be is a president, so he's doing what he can to maximize his probability of becoming president.
