That Grizzlies team had Randolph playing at the highest level of his career, they had great depth to boot. San Antonio only had one big at the time.. Timmy... Splitter wasn't what he was now and Blair wasn't going to do work on that front line either. Add in Conley who played great D on Parker, and you have a receipe for success

Who on the Lakers is going to check Parker? Who is going to stop their young players from getting out and getting to the 3 point line?

I also wouldn't put it past Splitter to do some work down low because D'Antoni isn't going to play Howard/Gasol together... plus, Gasol hasn't shown to be a playoff performer since the 2010 finals.

The Lakers aren't beating anyone in the Western conference 4 times out of 7.
and Splitter has?:comeon:

its not even about who gon stop who, if Dwight continues to get healthy the Lakers will be a problem in the West

Lakers have won 14 of their last 18 without depth, so Gasol can only help

C'mon yall, Spurs org >>>>>>>>>>>>> Kobe's will to win

For the Lakers to gel and peak in time vs a top seed is nothing short of a miracle. Lakers going from title-lock to Cinderella team in the same season so fall back just a little, lol.

Splitter is playing some of his best ball this year, we'll see but he can't be as bad as Gasol has been in the 2011 and 2012 playoffs.

Even though the Lakers have gotten a lot of Ws lately, its not like they are beating any of the top teams in either conference.. and their road record is horrible

I think whats worse is that ive heard a lot of people say this, i personally dont think they have a shot. I mean maybe folks wont write them off because its the "Lakers" but i dont see them doing any damage in the playoffs.

A long time ago, a great music cd told me that if you have chestnuts, that means you have a dikk in your mouth so basically, Morris needs to stop sucking of the Lakers because the Spurs will tax these nikkas in April just like the IRS does.

It's true, the lakers can very well beat the spurs in round 1 if they match up, especially if they get Gasol back. I'm sure you remember the lakers being the favorite to get to the finals out of the west. Them being healthy gives them a shot.

Exactly. It's not like he said the 6ers could beat the Heat or some shyt like that. Lakers are a top 3 seed masquerading as a fringe playoff team.

If the Lakers had one system, coach, and lineup stability from the jump, they would have 40 wins right now.

They've played with 13 different starting lineup, 3 coaches, and 2 different systems. They are finally getting things together at the end of the season and playing like they should.

:dwillhuh:

Get the hell outta here... you are what your record is. Sure, the Lakers have talent but its not like they're going to stop these quick PGs and defending fastbreaks/3 pointers
