I recently got into cast irons. I still haven't perfected the cleanup tho. when do these shyts become nonstick?

i have this issue too, says not to soak or scrub them, but wtf, shyt stays stuck on, especially in high heat cooking. i bought a pre seasoned pan and still season it every 6 or so uses and cannot for the life of me clean it the way they way you're supposed to be able to. i recently just went ahead and bought a small enameled cast iron roaster since you get the same heat production with less fuss on cleanup

Did you season it? Correctly?

Also you CAN wash a cast iron. You need to wash it immediately, don't scrub, and dry with paper towel immediately after cleaning. And then oil it. Do all of this while the pot is still warm. Thats my care process and I've had mines for years and its still nonstick.
