Yeah, the product seems cool.

Do you remember jawbone? They had fitness and sleep trackers. But all the data was proprietary and pseudoscience. They were a hot gadget for a second then eventually their bullshyt caught up to them now the apps and shyt don't work, it's basically a paperweight or a non operational fancy bracelet. They shut down a number of years ago leaving people with inoperable devices.

I'm concerned that could happen again. And if it doesn't, why do we have to pay for the subscription? I understand that the interface and all that is expensive to maintain but with polar or Garmin, and other devices you can get all your data for free and some of those offer premium services. This is just a premium service.
Polar has a lot of shyt going on, csn you point to whichever product you're using?

Valid concerns. I checked out their privacy policy and they seen to be good there. Just your email. I'm not familiar with Polar or their competitors so I'll keep looking but a ring is ideal. Not a watch it some shyt. As for the subscription, FSA is use it or lose it :manny:

What kinda languages? :feedme: What are you looking for in an app and why is Duolingo only pre 2019? :jbhmm:
At that time it was brazilian portuguese, russian and mandarin. Portuguese stuck because it was more fun to engage native speakers.
Russian has too many cases and they have no filter plus the women are always asking for help with either jobs or university sh!t.

I'm eyeing up german and spanish within the next year and then arabic/mandarin in the next 5.

I was looking to learn the language, I found hoes, ex-girlfriends, business deals, new connections and straight up enemies on language apps.
Duolingo was more fun - less ads, leaderboard groups etc

I have a few polar watches. Polar is a fitness company so I use it to track my workouts, and I put in a fitness goal like to be able to run 10k in 45mins in 200 days and it automatically generated a workout program that's tailored to my body and stats, tells me when I'm working too hard, or not working hard enough, tracks sleep and recovery, has GPS to track my runs and such, can measure vo² max and heart rate.

Oura does a lot more, but once I've bought the polar watch, I have access to all these features...I don't have to subscribe for monthly access.

That's the main thing, I don't like the access being behind a paywall especially when you pay $279 marked down from $350. I guess if it stops working or you stop you still have a cool looking ring and $70 a year is affordable. I just don't like it.
