Might have to cop this again. I had on PS3 but much like the GTA Series I get the itch to relive the story again.

Is it worth grabbing teh remastered? always thought this was the most attractive gta spawn outside of the first few saints rows

YES.

This game is amazing. Graphically outdated but it has a strong plot, fun missions and feels a bit mroe contained and serious than GTA. I personally enjoyed it more than most GTA games and I pray there is a sequel one day.

When I moved in June, the turned off my internet early and I didn't want to play any of my newer games until my new 4k hdr was hooked up. Only thing available for me to do in the day time was play this game (my cousin let me borrow). fukked around and beat it in like 3 days.

I need to finish this game. I swear this game had watching Chinese crime dramas for a week straight.

This is easily the most engaging, interactive and immersive open world game I've ever played. It's from last gen, yet nothing feels dated in its design, with game mechanics and world building that stands above even the technically superior RDR2. Condensed in its design, lacking the sprawl of GTAV, at no point are you deprived of something to do. Each of the missions you select or stumble upon ties into central narrative, never leaving you aimlessly wandering around the way other, more successful open world efforts of late (RDR2, Watch Dogs 2, etc.) are guilty of. The combat is superb, a visceral engine molded off the combat from WB's Arkham series, but more realistic and punishing. If you try to fight the enemies like Batman, thinking that all you have to do is counter their attacks, you will never make much progress. Even the driving, which is usually an afterthought in games of this sort, is incredibly fun. The handling lacks realism, giving this component more of an arcade feel, but the liberties you've given on the road result in many thrilling episodes of insanity.

Outside of making untold amounts of money from people who gladly buy anything they make, what the fukk is Rockstar doing to push the open world genre forward? :what:

Rockstar ain't pushing shyt right now outside of digital currency for their frankly shyte online titles.

The last great GTA game was GTA4 with it's flaws and floaty driving mechanics cause they really rounded out that story in an awesome fashion.

I had hope for RDR2 and while I love the single player and the hunting and fishing, the Online has denegrated into trash, just straight up, currency buying trash and I can see myself not fukking with it at all in the future.

No gambling?
No outlaw system?
Taking away resources so you have to grind while pushing the pay to progress gold bar shyt?

A sleeping Dogs 2 made in the same vein of it's predecessor would be a welcomed addition to the genre right now.

Never heard of this game. Will definitely buy now. It sounds right up my alley.:ehh:

You can cop for cheap cause it's always on bargain bin sale status, but it's a damned good game.

The driving ain't as good, the gunplay is nice but as tight and the soundtrack and city ain't as "vibrant" as you'd find in a GTA but the combat, story and overall presentation is quite enjoyable.

As OP said, it's Arcadey but damned good. Enjoy the hell out of it.
