actually that is false. Skip turned on Durant after he lost to the grizz in 4 consecutive. Up until that point he was still referring to Russ as an "anvil around the neck of Kevin Durant." Durant dissed Skip way before that and Skip still said he was his favorite player. I watch First Take all the time. ya'll nikkas need to stop creating myths.

of course he was going to do a complete 180 on him right aways. But he was planting the seeds little by little after that. Especially after the '12 Finals.

who said anything about his numbers? I would hope his numbers go up with all the extra touches he gets once their leader goes down. The point is Durant can't hold the ship up while Russ is out. He's not aggressive. He's not a killer. He's too passive. Content with others making plays rather than demanding the ball. The guy has beta male all over his DNA eventhough he's got alpha male skills. He's at the same place LeBron was circa 2011. Hope he changes but it doesn't look likely.

watch the games. you fantasy football clowns have ruined all sports discussion with their obsession with box scores and never watching the games. the Thunder have choked away several 4th quarter leads the past couple of weeks since Russ went down with KD disappearing when his team needs him most. A lot of those losses also came to bad teams in OKC. That is unacceptable for the "2nd best player in the league."

D Wade beasted the year before they won in 06 and was the top dog with shaq. 09 he was the scoring champ and had great years in 10-11. And was cooking when Bron first came to the heat.

Maybe its just me but I determine the quality of a player by WATCHING THEM PLAY. If the stats don't back up what I see, I don't ignore my eyes. I don't care what stats Kevin Love puts up he ain't a star player in this league. Never seen him play a meaningful game or do something that impressed me.

Durant used to impress me but I'm seeing more and more Kevin Love in him. Empty stats without any real impact. Russ was the one whose numbers mattered and made a difference. Not Durant.
