Yeah thats a good start! Especially the sunscreen.

Right now my current routine which is mainly aimed at getting rid of Hyperpigmentation and evening out my skintone.
AM
Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%
Azaelic Acid
Moisturiser
Sunscreen

PM
Lactic Acid 10% (2-3x week)
Niacinamide
Tranexamic Acid
Moisturiser

I generally shop at The Ordinary which is pretty affordable.
Im no derm but If I was shopping there for your concerns I'd look into:

  • 10% Mandelic Acid - Gentle Chemical Exfoliant which can help acne, texture and pigmentation.
(Or you could try Lactic Acid, which is a bit more hydrating If you suffer from dry skin should give similar results)
  • Alpha Arbutin - Good for hyperpigmentation
  • Niacinamide - Can brighten and repair skin
With skincare I've found the best approach is keeping it simple.
I've tried loads of products and combinations over the years, downside is you never really find out what works and what doesn't because you've got a million products in your routine.

Could give those a try for a few months and see how you get on, dont exect overnight results for hyperpigmentation though.

Example of a routine using those items
AM:
Alpha Arbutin
Niacinamide
Moisturiser
SPF

PM:
Alpha Arbutin
Niacinamide
Mandelic Acid (2-3x Week)
Moisturiser

Dark circles unfortunately If drinking water and getitng enough isn't shifting then its likely genetic, and thus you can only really reduce appearance as opposed to completely get rid.

Ordinary do a product called "Caffeine Solution" which can help reduce appearance and puffyness.
Generally eye serums are hit and miss but that ones only like $5 so you could give it a shot.

What cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen are you using?
i just started this skincare routine this past Sunday :pachaha:

cleanser: cerave hydrating facial cleanser.
moisturizer: dove men ultra hydra cream (gonna replace this one though i got it from the dollar store lol)

Never used one myself, never saw the attraction.

But I guess it’s a form of exfoliation, if you do get a cleansing brush I wouldn’t use it more then 2-3x a week and ensure you clean it thoroughly to stop bacteria breeding in them.

Side note: incorporated two hydrating serums to my skin, and I think one of them is breaking me out. Had 3 inflamed pimples on my forehead in the past few days.
I’m trying my hard not to pick and pop, I just hope they don’t leave marks.

For you, I don't think you need a cleansing brush because it helps mostly removing makeup/oil/etc from pores. I used a Clarisonic Mia 2, but I lost my charge. 3 months ago, I bought a dupe on Amazon for 20 bucks and my skin has been glowing. The poster above is correct. You must keep it clean or you will end up spreading bacteria around your face.

Foreos are really nice. Amazon has dupes for around 20 bucks.

Which ones? I use mostly The Ordinay's product, but I need to expand my taste.

the olay is way too abrasive and will make you tan faster because it scratching your skins.

Caytraill Facial Cleansing Brush- Face Brush – 4 Function Modes – Rotating Magnetic Beads – Waterproof & Rechargeable – Portable & Ergonomic Handle – Skin Rejuvenation&Cleansing&Massage

I got this one, but search similar structure. Soft rubber bristles that vibrate. No brush. It is too hard on the skin, imo.

I wouldn’t use a cleansing brush, they attract a lot of bacteria and dirt. Using your hands and washing your face for a full 60 seconds will help a lot.

I cleaned mine after every use. However, the ones with the plastic bristles are harder to clean than the rubber ones.

I bought so much makeup from sephora. :mjcry:

Unsure about facial exercises.

However a Retinoid will help.
Which is Vitamin A derivatives that act as an Anti Oxidant for skin, and encourages cell turnover deep in the skin and boosts collagen to improve appearance by reducing wrinkles, sun damage, acne etc.

There are prescription strength stuff which is Tretinoin which is very effective but also irritating.

Retinol is the most common OTC Retinoid, which isn't as strong as Tret but still effective but will take longer to see difference.

Unsure of your budget but The Ordinary are very affordable and might be a good place to start.
They have multiple Ordinary products and give you a run down on strengths and how irritating they are.

This water-free solution contains 0.2% pure Retinol, an ingredient that can reduce the appearances of fine lines, of photo damage and of general skin aging. While Retinol has been studied extensively, it is irritating to the skin and newer technologies exist that mimic the visible effects of Retinol without causing skin irritation. For this reason, we generally recommend using Granactive Retinoid 2% or Granactive Retinoid 5% instead of this formula.

The Ordinary’s portfolio of retinoids includes the following formulations:

Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (Moderate Strength, No Irritation)
Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane (Moderate Strength, No Irritation)
Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane (High Strength, No to Low Irritation)
Retinol 0.2% in Squalane (Low Strength, Moderate Irritation)
Retinol 0.5% in Squalane (Moderate Strength, High Irritation)
Retinol 1% in Squalane (High Strength, Very High Irritation)

I've just started using Granactive Retinoid from The Ordinary, which is less irritating than traditional Retinol but apparently just as effective.
Although research is lacking in comparison to Retinol, but could be a good place to start as its affordable and not irritating.

If you're going to use Pure Retinol then start with the lowest 0.2%.

Beware of the infamous Retinoid Uglies Purge though, as it increases cell turnover you'll like see a rise in bumps and blackheads for the first few weeks but this is just your skin adjusting and shouldn't be a long term effect.
I haven't had this personally...yet at least but its quite common.

Hydrating serums and Sunscreen also is a must when using Retinol products and just generally beneficial for your skin anyway to protect your skin from premature ageing and dehydration.
Retinol and exfoliants make your skin more sensitive to the sun and more susceptible to damage.

Vitamin C serums also useful as it boosts collagen also.

As for in office treatments by a Esthetician/Derm Chemical Peels and Microneedling are good in addition to Retinol If you can afford to do so.

I need help on how to keep my son's hair moisturized. He's 18 months and his hair soaks up whatever oil or product I put in it and goes dry. I tried some Cantu detangler conditioner and leave in conditioner but after an hour it dries right back up.

Are you applying it to damp hair or dry hair?
