What is the purpose of this for the Thunder? Taking on all that money for those low value picks.

Use those picks to get great role players on cheap rookie deals(young Ibaka, young Reggie Jackson, young Steven Adams) or hope one of those late picks fukk around and be Jokic; Butler, Kawhi, or Giannis :manny:

Now they'll just include Tobias Harris
What you think about the harden situation? One thing ppl not bringing up is Harden played this the ring way. I agree with what Perkins aid in he should’ve ha does the trade request differently. He went public with it in his own. Pppl compare it to AD but Ad went public with it via his agent. James is trying to forced a trade through by himself. Ppl don’t realize he has no agent. Rob Pelinka was his agent and he took the Lakers job.

players around the league are clowning him for turning down that money. All the former nba player-analysts and even non-nba players are saying he should’ve took the money. Harry said he’d give up all but one ring if they offered him 50 million year. I personally respect it because it shows he really wants to win and I hope Harden gets a ring. He deserves it

OKC roster too good to tank now.
Adams/Horford/Oubre/SGA/Rubio could play .500 ball
it want about tanking. It was about getting younger and building assets. Cuz in the future one of these young stars goin want out and okc goin have the assets to pull off that trade. That’s all Houston did from 2009 to 2012 was stockpile young studs and assets and they parlayed that into Harden when he couldn’t make it work with okc contractually. They don’t have to do a complete rebuild from the bottom. Tanking don’t ensure that you goin get a star.

What's OKC's plan... Collect 30 1st pick and trade for an ALL-Star disgruntle team?

Rebuild from scratch the same way they did in back in '08-09. They are a small market franchise and know very well they cannot get a free agent to come to Oklahoma and they tried their best in getting whatever big all-star there before and haven't worked. What made OKC viable and at one time championship contenders was the fact of using the draft to their advantage. So they're completely rebuilding and getting the right pieces while dumping old excess contracts. I think the only remaining one now is Adams which is why the Horford trade is interesting in that they maybe making a move to trade away Adams. OKC is and been on complete rebuilding mode. Them making the playoffs last saeason wasn't even meant to be in the cards, but it was fortunate to access the young squad and how to build.

Horford contract will be up by the time they build a semi-competitive team. They're just stashing pics and hoping some pan out. Only thing they can do. It got them players like KD, russ, harden, Ibaka, Adam's, etc. in the past

He makes so much money that in his mind, what he makes now compared to what they offered him isn't enough to offset a trade.
