It ain't the worst idea. Also, it allows the team to make more gambles in free agency knowing if it doesn't work, they can attach picks to get rid of them (or in this case, Al Horford is their new Chris Paul; if he rebuilds his value to someone, maybe they can flip him for a pick).
They're gonna be the most interesting case study of this decade.
And I said this when the Paul trade happened: I don't think you can fully write them off yet for the 8th seed. Same way we thought they'd suck last year, that could change with a quick start and less games on the schedule and they got plenty of vets for all the youngins they're bringing in.
