Lions fan coming in peace again lol.

So is this the end? You guys have the cap space to keep it pushing but man...re-signing Aiyuk was a fukk up. Pearsall looks legit and this draft has a lot of good WRs (again). I wouldn't resign Deebo either.

I'mma just say it.

McCaccy's done :hubie:
They Zeke'd that boy. Ran him into the ground for seasonal success, which obliterated him for the playoffs when he was really needed, and homie won't be right ever again. Mark my words.

  • Whole O-Line needs to be overhauled.
  • Despite having tens of millions tied up into Hargrave, DT is somehow still a big need. The trenches on the team are trash.
  • Lenoir's natural position for his skillset is traditional FS but they'll never play him there so he'll always be a #2 CB on a team that needs a #1.
  • Somehow the team has 4 logjammed WRs who are all different and yet all seem to able to produce the same with the same targets.
  • An all-world receiving TE who doesn't get the run routes efficiently because if he isn't in there blocking then his routes have to be speedrun because the O-Line is so bad the QB will die otherwise.
re-sign Huf. Have him gain 10-15 of lean muscle in the offseason and then hit him with a high-calorie training camp diet. Play him at LB. He's too slow to be an effective safety in this division.
Mustafa/Brown SS/FS duo
RB-by-committee with Guerendo and Mason next season.
If CMC comes back semi-healthy, put him in the slot. Keep him out the RB rotation.
Rotation at DT because Hargrave ain't it. Find out who and what Drake Jackson even is.
Deebo needs to be kept under all circumstances. Not because he is even a top-2 WR on the team. But because if he gets to KC, the league is fukked.
Spend the whole draft on OL/DL. All of it. Zero sexy picks. Zero skill players. ZERO.
See if Jerrod Mayo wants to be a DC.
Run some goddamned stunts on defense for the love of god.

I mean long term, yeah, it's kinda over. We will need a full rebuild after next season. But if we are able to be lucky + smart this offseason, we can still contend for one last time in 2025.

Nah it ain't over, it's a transition period. We'll still have a lot of the great players for the next couple of seasons, and other than Trent they'll still be in productive age. Truth be told, many of them needed this offseason off to heal up and take a break from multiple deep postseason runs. We need to backfill these players and groom young talent from the draft though. We're in a pretty solid spot roster-wise. Only 1 position group has an immediate need for new starters. I don't have a big problem with the Aiyuk deal, assuming he returns to form from last season. Him and Pearsall are a really good tandem for Purdy. We still have Deebo under contract for next season, but yeah I would look into trading him this offseason.

Don’t they have an option to not pay Purdy until next year?
Yeah, he's under contract for next year as well. Most QBs in his position don't make it to the last year of their contract though. Agent is probably advising him to hold out if they don't want to give him a new contract in the offseason.

Yall done found yall another scapegoat this year....last year yalls DC....this year yall special team coordinator Brian Schneider. He was disappointing tho
Wilks was a scapegoat. Schneider is a good and very deserved firing.

Schneider had to go as we had the worst special teams in the league by far. Even if he wasn't the main problem you can't be the wost and ST losing you games...and keep your job.

He also never had a top ST unit while being our coordinator. He went from mediocre (or worse) to bad to the worst. Keeping would've been malpractice. or self sabotage.
