Contemplated making this thread for days but it's whatever at this point. Early this morning my sister called me and said her heart stopped and they got it back beating but shes incubated now. At the hospital now. Man this hurts right now
I hope she will make a full recovery

Sorry this happened to your mom but here are things to keep in mind. Always communicate clearly with the nurses. Be nice and courteous but don’t be shy with asking questions. Here are numbers to worry about:

FiO2 anything below 60 is good in the next few hours. Ask how often they’re doing ABGs
Lactic Acid—dead tissue and sepsis marker. Anything below 2 is good.
Vasopressors—- meds to keep her pressure up. Levo Vasopressin Epinephrine and such. Ask how much and how many she’s on.
Sedation (on and off)—- ask how much sedation she’s on and what does she do off sedation.
Labs—- ask which labs are off and how they’re fixing it.

Keep asking those questions and you will get a better idea on what’s going on.

You mean intubated?

Sorry to hear this, and I’ll keep your mom in my prayers. My Dad just had a kidney taken out due to cancerous lesions so I know how it feels to have a parent in the hospital.
