......I've heard of a kid losing one half of cortex at the corpus callosum and the brain rewires the remaining half to function like a full brain but I've never heard that being possible in an adult

Besides the fascination with what would or could cause the callosal injury AND lead to loss of have of the cortex while remaining compatible to life, I would love to hear how and what it entailed that he recovered bi-cortical function
