One thing I will say, when Melo first game being on the Knicks and I'm Coming Home came on will always be legendary. That's the one period I admired Sean Combs.

I'd argue that his appearance on songs typically worsened them

Long Kiss Goodnight, Who Shot Ya, Suicidal Thoughts. 3 of my favorite Biggie songs....did having puff on them rambling and screaming in the background enhance the song at all? IMO it was obnoxious

Some adlibs are necessary or welcomed but I'd doesn't need to go THAT far. He trying to implant himself where it wasn't needed

...plus he didn't make beats on any of the tracks he stuck his name on.

If you knew the deal behind the false credits and the not his tracks and the not his rhymes and were annoyed by his ad-libs off top, you are probably among those who never bought into the myth of who Puff pretended to be so you weren't duped into being a fan of him in the first place.

and that is only off the music- beyond that:

Throwing his name on the tracks makes it that much more egregious

nikkas used to disagree wit me when I said his bum ass adlibs was ruinin Biggie classics.... Only a couple where his adlibs actually made the track better like Suicidal Thoughts. That nikka was just screamin a whole lotta nothin most time.

Puff gay ass blackballed Easy Moe Bee from the industry too

Easy is mad underrated, no fukking reason he just vanished like that. Went from being on some of Hip-Hop's biggest releases of all time from 94-97, then gone...

He didn't black ball him

Easy Mo Bee went CRAZY, like clinically insane. Combat Jack told the story when he first started blogging and doing podcasts

This is silly.

It’s ok to have been a fan of someone in the past when you had no clue he was doing this behavior. The internet is weird. Diddy was a HUGE presence, to say you weren’t a fan of him or something he did during his 20+ year run and classic hit songs and albums because recently discovered transgressions seems disingenuous.

Diddy had bangers from when I was a child through my 20s. Erasing the history of what those songs did in the moment and pretending I was never a fan :stopitslime:

How old are you?

Lots of people hated Puffy in the 90s for all the commercialization, sampling loops/hits from the 80s with no chops and shiny suits.
