I love the animation, art style, and story.
It's what I've been waiting for, for a minute in terms of a "kung fu" game.
The pacing is incredibly well done. Everything flows together seamlessly.
This game isn't getting enough props for how well they we've the story, even the opening credits, with the gameplay. This is a masterclass in how to get straight to the point and tell a compelling (enough) story without getting away from the fact that this is a video game and you should be actually enjoying everything on screen the entire time. They even nailed the tutorial better than probably any game I've ever played.

This is dope as hell. The way they merged the tutorial with the intro credits was genius.

Stage 1 wasn’t bad at all, I was only 25 when I beat it. Stage 2 though

That difficulty spike is no joke. Made it to the boss once before he easily dispatched me. Everything is coming together though. I can see myself getting better each time I play. I think I’ll grind out stage one a few more times before trying the club again.

The parrying timing seems to be hit or miss for me. I think I’m better off just dodging and weaving.

That’s actually smart I did the first level over and over just to get a good age and counter for 2, but getting good at it will probably get me a good start toward permanents. Starting over again tonight

ya I’m up to 7/8 permanent unlocks now…some you have to unlock before you hit 29 so it gives me a reason to keep going back to that first level and sharpen up my skills…and getting my ass kicked gives me a purpose…granted level 1 is so much easier to me now…it’s level 2 where I’m getting sloppy…I’ll probably beat it today tho…I think it was the skill up review that said the 2nd level is probably where most ppl are gonna bail

the thing is, it’s not just simply beating the level you gotta beat it relatively young to make it through the rest of the game.

I feel like people should have played Absolver (there's alot of reused animations from that game in this one).

But Absolver was hard too. Normal enemies could clap you easily if you didn't pay attention. I went in expecting a challenge and not Devil May Cry.



If anything, I'm happy there's a beat-em-up that isn't a button masher.

Absolver was great, kinda why I feel confident PvP is coming
