Everybody ain’t a hardcore gamer. A game being very difficult, can be a negative to lots of people.

But that’s also why I don’t give reviews much credence. Reviewers are just people playing games like the rest of us. Some of them suck at games. No reason their “opinions” should hold so much weight in how people view games.

honestly, i'll wait on the opinions of cats in here reviews more seriously. rarely have been let down. And you also gotta consider that some cats aren't fans of certain game types, so why take their opinions seriously?

Tips so far

1. ALWAYS CARRY A WEAPON. Almost every room has a weapon of some sort. If you don't see one look for one before you move on.

2. Here's the defensive pyramid. Sway/Parry/Dodge/Block.
Sway is the best because you hold your ground, can regain stamina and counter-attack the fastest. If you can't do that the other options have massive draw backs. Blocking will get your ass whooped fast.

3. Play this like Kung-Fu Dark Souls. Every enemy has a pattern, learn it.

4. USE YOUR FINISHERS AND FOCUS. Not only do finishers regain health, they also give you invincible frames. If you are overwhelmed look for the weakest enemy and bust them down to get the finisher. Also Focus ives you invincibility as well.

5. Use movement to your advantage. Some moves lock you in place and others cause you to move a great deal use them on mobile opponents to stay mobile. If you aren't attacking you should be moving.

6. Literally, the opening credits teach you how to beat each boss.

Eh I think if the game is marketed or understood to be difficult before release than I don't see why consistently mentioning it and/or taking points from it is logical. It's one thing if this was meant to be a casual sort of experience and than it came out that it was hard as fukk but that isn't the case here.

So this just means people who don’t like hard games shouldn’t review it, which I kinda agree with. But on the flip side there should be some reviews to tell those people to stay the hell away. So…….:manny:

All jokes aside, this is a good change of pace from the shyt I've been playing.

NES Kung Fu 2022 :wow:
You crazy. I'm out here puttin work in son
I love the animation, art style, and story.
It's what I've been waiting for, for a minute in terms of a "kung fu" game.
The pacing is incredibly well done. Everything flows together seamlessly.
This game isn't getting enough props for how well they weave the story, even the opening credits, with the gameplay. This is a masterclass in how to get straight to the point and tell a compelling (enough) story without getting away from the fact that this is a video game and you should be actually enjoying everything on screen the entire time. They even nailed the tutorial better than probably any game I've ever played.

Skill Up review was exactly this

Said the game will attract many more ppl than the subset who are prepared to meet it at its level

I feel like people should have played Absolver (there's alot of reused animations from that game in this one).

But Absolver was hard too. Normal enemies could clap you easily if you didn't pay attention. I went in expecting a challenge and not Devil May Cry.

If anything, I'm happy there's a beat-em-up that isn't a button masher.
