Should WWE bring back Attitude or something like it?

No.

They have an abundance of talent. They need to actually use it and add depth to a main event scene over-reliant on the same people.

Attitude worked because it was the wildest, most edgy shyt on free TV (along with Springer). And back then, free TV was the primary thing most people watched.

What edgy stuff can WWE on USA do in 2018 that you cant find on your social media feed? Most people under 40 are on their phones all day looking at the craziest shyt.

I dont got all the answers but I think the solution is more along the lines of culturally relevant characters/TV presentation and common sense booking.

:aicmon:"attitude" is the last thing WWE needs at this point. Crash TV was a product of the mid to late 90s. That type of era is not going to work in a modern day setting. Its like this, the main problem with wrestling nowadays is the fact that it's trying to do this whole MMA "relatable" shyt. I don't want a full damn government name in my professional wrestling unless it has a nick name in the quotes. How you want to appeal to a new era of kids when you got boring ass names like "Dean Ambrose" or "Kevin Owens". I mean why wrestling got to be reality tv at this point? The shyt is fake:dahell:. Scratch the real names and make the characters larger than life. I don't want to get a coffee with Braun Stroman, I want to be fukking terrified of him:whoa:. ITS WRESTLING! The main reason why I watched wrestling and continue to do so is because of the character aspect along with the fukkery. As a child, I thought the Undertaker was catching bodies in the ring, I thought HBK was wrong for throwing Marty through the window, and I was in awe at Hogan getting crushed by Yokozuna. How you expect a wrestling fan in 2018 to take a smiling happy go lucky heel seriously:mindblown:? I watch wrestling to escape from the woes of a condescending world. Bottom line, WWE just needs to embrace it's inner carny. They will never get as popular as they were during the Attitude era because times done change. The internet exposed the ins and outs of the business. So might as well just carry on with the show to a niche market. Meaning the following:

  • fukkery and lots of it
  • Promos and segments like the good ole days beyond a wrestler looking like a retard at the monitor backstage
  • Take the women division seriously
  • ENOUGH OF THE REALISM shyt
All in all, wrestling is pretty much a male soap opera. The moment WWE realize that as a collective, the better. Until then it's all rating freefall and more plotholes than a Tyler Perry movie:camby:

To be fair, the summer of Punk, Bryne's rise of glory, and Wyatt fukkery were the closest things to a breath of fresh air. As I stated, WWE doesn't need "attitude", it just needs a sense of direction. All wrestling fans desire is fukkery and something to talk about throughout the week. When Punk dropped the Pipebomb, I wanted to see what else he was going to do next week. Bryne getting lowballed, I wanted to see him prevail over the machine. Wyatts/Shield hints, I was dying for a showdown at a PPV. Like it's not that hard. Why would I watch Corbin use a long winded promo and Seth lets the fans know that Raw is shyt:mindblown:? There's no rhyme or reason behind those angles, other than wasting time and folks to be down with the NWG:banderas:

It’s not about bringing back Attitude, it’s about giving the audience something to actually care about and invest in. There's a reason No Watch Gang exists, cause the WWE hasn’t given people a reason to care, and haven’t in a long time. If you can miss the WWE for months, flip it on one day and the same shyt is happening, why watch? The worst thing is that the WWE has the deepest roster they’ve had in years, yet they are being totally wasted because nobody is allowed to have any personality at all. It’s just aimless matches with no meaning. Feuds start just because one person was beat one week and the other person won the next week. No legit conflict at all.

They could never duplicate the attitude era or any other great era, if they could then the ruthless aggression era would be the one to go after. Smackdown 02-06 is exactly how wrestling should be with great wrestling/storylines. The problem is now Vince has nothing but failed Hollywood writers and Road Dogg writing this bullshyt.

This. The Attitude Era was a right place at the right time kind of deal, it reflected Pop Culture. It’s a much different culture in 2018.

Really WWE just needs interesting storylines, something for us to be invested in. Like I said a few weeks ago, Alexa trying to get Corbin caught up in some #MeToo shyt and taking the GM job would’ve been intriguing as hell.
