I do have a serious suggestion for you. Don't quote me. Ur cancelled. You are thread cancer.

You not gonna be insulting me then trying to emote your true motivations. If I want to deal with passive aggressive behavior I'll argue with my wife.

Don't talk to me until summertime respectfully. By then we should see the results and solutions of this madness.

The United States government could immediately set the price of gas to whatever they wanted it to be based on region and immediately incur the costs. Then they could print the money and actually pay nothing which is what they do subsidizing the housing market snd all the bad loans and mortgages. It’s called quantitative easing but it only works if your a billionaire.

to answer the thread, they should subsidize it by finally raising the damn minimum wage, give people the money they need to survive in this new more expensive reality. inflation + rising costs of everything + simply being fukking behind = clear reason to pass a higher min wage

i know a patronizing thread/poster like this deserves patronizing answers, but this aint the reality for most commuters or suburban/rural residents, and living in dense walkable places is now only affordable to the most well off while public transit options lag in many metros as it both isn't comprehensive and costs a lot (ie BART in the bay area - most people need to drive to a station, pay $6-13 for parking, and $10-15 to get from the burbs to job centers in SF/OAK...not sure you come out ahead vs just driving)
To the millions of people who work a second job driving Uber or delivering food… I guess you shoulda made a better life choice shoulda went to college :umad:

liberalism is elitism and white supremacy under a mask pun intended. It’s absolutely divorced from any ideals of solidarity with the working class

QE is not used to subsidize commodities. Its used to lower effective interest rates to stimulate lending and open up credit markets.

. People should just not buy fuel inefficient vehicles if they can't handle a crunch like this.

Don't think gas needs to get subsidized.
Brothers on here pushing 3500HD Crew Cabs complaining about gas prices

:snoop:
:dahell: what is this condescending bullshyt. gas prices arent affecting people driving to work in 2010 hyundais? you dont need to be driving an escalade to be affected by this :dead:

and for the record, theres really not some "upstanding moral answer" to why americans should just be expected to take this, for ukraines sake. ukraine surrendering and modifying their constitution doesnt mean a fukkin thing to anyone in this country. no one in here would notice the difference if it happened tomorrow. you can feign outrage, but its a fact

so im all for supporting the ukraine, but im not gonna be told to 'just sacrifice, its worth it' by some fukking millionaire hollywood politician either :camby:

If you were less dense, you'd see I quipped that my pockets aren't being hit as much as others, recognizing the increase at my level. Do I drive a more efficient car? Yes. Are my pockets hit a little harder? Yes. Do you understand that part of the sentence? No.

There is no dire need for the subsidy. I'll only accept one if there's radical changes to fees and taxes on vehicles that sharply increase based on size (irrespective of class) to pay for it.

A Honda Accord get 562 miles on a full tank.
A full tank is 14.8 gallons.

If I drove 40 miles a day, I'm doing roughly 3 fills a month.

A gas price increase of one dollar per gallon would cost me 45 dollars a month.

An 05 accord with the I4 is pretty efficient. Try again.

If you're so tight that the jump from 3.50 to 4.50 is killing you, there's problems elsewhere.

MY opinion is not indicative of the Democratic party or it's agenda. :yeshrug: I figured there was something goofy to this faux outrage of yours and it turns out it's political left/right BS. :skip:

35% of the country isn't financially collapsing due to the gas changes.

If Johnny Pigfukker with his 10mpg pickup and needs 28 gallons of fuel wants a subsidy, let him pay for it up front by having higher registration and purchase costs for his guzzling land boat.

Yes, Johnny Pigfukker. Do you need me to validate your reading sentence by sentence now?

Hondas are notoriously efficient for the most part. If you take something common like an 08 Civic, you're only seeing maybe ten bucks at most on a fill up from dead E to F compared to last year. If finances are make or break over ten dollars on a variably priced commodity like gasoline, there's issues elsewhere.

Really just sounds like you don't know much about cars, on top of trying to apply Hummer and F350 hurt to efficient compact sedan owners. Pigfukker.
