if he won a sb with favre he would be
he should be regardless
its a shame
Shannon gave him the ultimate endorsement when he was inducted into the Hall.Sterling wasn't very media friendly during his time and didn't have any rings. Those are the reasons he won't ever make the Hall.
Plus "they" want that Brothers in the Hall together thing to go to the Mannings.
The selection committee is just as biased as the owners when it comes to who gets in and who doesn't. If you aren't Mount Rushmore and ain't media friendly expect to wait longer than you should.

"I'm the only man who can say that I'm in the Hall of Fame, and not be the best player in my own family"
unfortunately i think some gloss can over the all pros or say the career numbers arent enough but when you put his peak into historical context and point out when he retired he had done something that hadnt been done before they can be swayed. i say that as an old head who watched him play and resigned myself at the time of his retirement he would never get in and agreed with that line of thinking. sterling led the nfl in receptions 3 times, i didnt even realize til looking it up just now that since 1970 noone else has led it more than twice.
