No, you have some options.
Have you looked into Coast Guard, Air Force, or Navy? CG and Navy have skills that can apply to Merchant Marine, non-military naval work.
Look into National Guard.
If you don't want to go all in time-wise, you can check out Army/Air Force/Navy/Marines Reserve.

There are options around joining up with the Army after that, man. Just try again. The Army is no joke. It's touted as being able to give you the respect and good living you want, but it can be a meat grinder.

If you go in young and able-bodied with few qualifications, keep in mind the possibility of coming out burned-up, melted, no knees, and still no qualifications.

I know people who've come out of that deaf from the blast of a bomb. They flabby now and can't hear. Just be careful and don't give up on education so easily.
