Like this scene. My favorite is when he walks out of the hospital, puts his hand up, and slowly points. Very powerful!

I never watched the movie. But, this is a powerful scene.

In my defense, I get upset (54 y.o. Black here). We know the history. It doesn't end happily. But thank you for sharing this scene!!

White Privilege: Thats not what the word "All" means.

ALL men are created equal. "ALL"?

Male, Landowning & White; Thats not what the word "All" means. They did not mean women or black people etc.

What are we Black people seeking in the year 2025 and beyond? Equality for everyone, or just a few that are willing to look their Brothers & Sisters in the eye and say, "I got mine."

The ironic thing about that whole process was that Pacino and Denzel were in the same boat, just at different ends. The Oscars constantly overlook young male actors who are beginning to build a name for themselves. In favor of a veteran actor who receives the win as a legacy award. Go back to the 70s. Pacino lost out three years in a ROW for best actor. Serpico in 1973, Godfather II in 1974, and Dog Day Afternoon in 1975. Three of the greatest performances of all time lol....zero wins. Two of those losses went to a veteran/legacy actor, the other went to Jack Nicholson which was understandable. So when you fast forward to 1992, Pacino was the veteran/legacy act winning over the more deserving young genius.

I don't know why they do it like that. Paul Newman, Al Pacino, Denzel...hell, remember how Di Caprio was treated lmao. Young titans giving some of the greatest performances of all time but didn't win until they were vets.

Yes, all time great performance ALL fukking TIME. I am talking the entire history of the craft of acting. Also Spike Lee's directing has never been as impeccable as it was on that Film. Everyone involved cared deeply and you can tell.

YES ,Goatzel bodied this role :wow: they High Key also shytted on him for Hurricane. but they made up for it the next year ironically robbing Russel crowe whom they gave it to in 99. IMHO Crowe should have won for beautiful mind and not gladiator. denzel should have at least 4 oscars dude is just The Goat.
