Should a person making food at McDonalds be able to afford rent and groceries with their paycheck?

Anyone working anywhere should be able to afford rent and groceries wtf. That should be bare minimum shyt.

It's crazy how people are arguing against this.

Not everyone is going to be able to get a high paying career. That's literally impossible.

Some people are going to have to make our food. And they should at least be able to survive doing so.
People are so brainwashed by corporations that they don’t realize the pay raise at McDonald’s should also mean a pay raise for everyone else if “you want fast food to be paid the same as doctors and engineers”. It’s literally nothing but dumbass white folks arguing against this stuff :snoop:

Who are the people least likely to be unable to afford “rent and groceries”?

People who planned their lives very meticulously which in a modern, technological society means people who did well in school and delayed gratification.
what type of double negative syntax is that. Had to read that twice.

It’s wild how people shyt on these low wage jobs like McDonald’s and Walmart yet these establishments continue to be some of the most profitable companies in the world

Like chappelle said ain’t nobody trying to pick their own strawberries….yet got every answer on why someone else shouldn’t be either

Those jobs were meant for teens 30 years ago. There are adults working full-time there now
That's an old talking point that isn't true. Fast food was never meant for teens. Most adults opted those jobs because of the low pay and lack of stability. Anyone who worked fast food knows you can work 10 hours one week and 30 the next. That is something teens can tolerate but not most adults.
