Damn, RIP Shock G

I never heard this before :ohhh:

The first 5 D.U. Lp’s set the bar so high in innovation. It’s amazing how many people don’t know Bodyhat, buy the cd or euro vinyl on discogs it comes with a comic book.matter of fact, I’m going to listen to Bodyhat tomorrow & Sons of the P tonight. Each lp is like a journey, take the D-Flo shuttle.

Damn this one hurts. I was just watching his interview from thug angel about pac the other day. One those guys that could also captivate you when he spoke and had knowledge like few do. Rip

I thought that interview couldn’t be topped and then I saw this one uploaded this weekend from the vaults

This one is crazy detailed right from the beginning with shock in character to start it out. And some of the details about him and Kenny, holy shyt. D.u. Was like a magical accidental gateway & if it wasn’t for Kenny, shock would be a jazz keyboardist.

This is dope, as mentioned in this thread shock really was an under appreciated genius, super talented with mixing that funk and rap. Just got lost in the mix as the there was multiple genius at that time in hip hop. Whenever I’ve watched live footage of him on the keys I was always hooked and he was always smooth and funky with it. I know you can never not mention pac when speaking about him I think that kinda overshadowed and downplayed his own impact and talent in his own right.

:francis:Even the rugged shyt sounded smooth af too:mjcry:

I swear it just seems like dude was the embodiment of peace. I was talking to my wife about this, like when Pac was with the Underground...dude was on his element. He was really saying shyt that affected the community and almost felt like a revolutionary without being a hypocrite with the shyt:hhh:.

Like there just seems like a light with Shock G that sadly he did not recognize. He became so modest with his style that it ended up keeping him alienated from further potential :mjcry:

Jeez this really is messing me up more than it should :why:. I don't even know the brother but I feel his spirit surrounding me through his music.
