He was dead in the water when he was sacrificed to Jinder two months in a row when it was obvious that they weren't going to do shyt with Jinder once his reign was over. They could have cemented him as a top guy for as long as he was around by crowning him at Summerslam in front of the super hot for him Brooklyn crowd. Then they cooled him off the rest of the year only to have him win the Rumble and lose to AJ 8 times in a row.
Vince aint about to push someone cause of a few hot crowds, its not about that. crowd reactions aren't everything, the dude can barely cut a promo

i mean yall are acting like he out here jobbing to roman reigns or cena, he had a major feud with AJ styles, the guy that was the IWC favorite just last year. Its like people only want their guy to be champ until someone new comes up then they have to have the belt immediately or they are considered buried. Naka will get his time on top, 2018 was AJ's time, im sure if he dont go to raw he will be facing the "new" daniel bryan by SS for the title

My point was more putting the title on him at a big event with a crowd that's super hot for him would make him look like even more of a big deal. Can you remember anything Nak did between Summerslam and winning the Rumble? What about from winning the Rumble to WM? His feud with AJ went nowhere, did nothing for AJ, and Nak immediately got put in the mid card right after.

he won the us title, and turned heel, his music got a nice little remix and well that about it but AJ was in limbo before he snuck up and won the title at a house show, he was in limbo before his first run as well after he lost to jericho at mania. its more wwe fault for not knowing how to right for the mid card no matter who the have their. im my opinion the IC/US champ should headline most tv shows and save the champ for ppv, jsut have them cut promos and do shyt backstage. But the problem is they arent creative enough to come up with interesting scenarios backstage anymore

Sometimes..Asuka is all time great so she wasnt gonna fall off and fans sing Nakamura's theme so no one hates him...they just went with it. Everyone was laughing in the audience everytime he hit Styles in the balls.

I'm not asking about what happened to him this year. I'm asking about what he did in between losing to Jinder last year and winning the Royal Rumble 2018. Remember, in the lead up to losing to Jinder two times in a row, Nak pinned Cena 100% clean to get the title shot in the first place. He loses to Jinder at Summerslam. He then beats Randy Orton 100% clean on the way to a rematch. He then loses the rematch. He's out of the title picture entirely. He has no momentum, forms a random team with Randy Orton to pass the time, gets eliminated super fast from Team Smackdown, spends the rest of 2017 on the losing end of a series of angleless matches.

Then he wins the Rumble, gets some juice again....only to lose in a flash finish just as the match was heating up, get what felt like 8 rematches that all had fukk finishes, turns heel, heads into the mid card, wins the US Championship, then isn't even booked at HIAC (the guy he was feuding with was in a HIAC match on that show, btw), wasn't on the Australia show, was on the pre-show of Crown Jewel, lost to Raw's mid card champ at Survivor Series, wasn't booked on TLC, loses the title to a guy who has been a comedy low card guy for most of the past 2 years on a pre-taped holiday show.

Current WWE booking says he'll win the WWE title in some multiman fukk fest on a random Tuesday in the next 5 weeks.

No, it's going to end up falling flat and going nowhere like everyone else that they intentionally cool down repeatedly until no one cares when the big moment happens. If it happens at all, which is not looking likely at this point.
