Hav most likely wanted to keep all those dirt bags at arms length. He didn't even give them tickets to the show or care that they couldn't get in the club. :heh:

He's known these nikkas since grade school so he knew their characters. I've never heard any drama for Hav in all these years.

P on the other hand, was infatuated with the streets and wanted to be accepted by all the QB goons...especially Lake's crew which seems to have had the most pull in the PJs.

Same thing as Pac dying trying to impress and fit in with some dirt bags from Compton.
At the end of the day Mobb Deep were two true artistic souls caught in the midst of all this goonery.

Hav was a pure musician (pops was a DJ) and P was a tortured poet. They had the right blend to make classic music. You lose track of that sometimes cause their music was so grimy and savage, but they were just as much art as ATCQ or Outkast.

They should make a movie about them one day.

"PIM - P sounds better ova this shyt, then the 1st bum nikkas that did it" - Prodigy freestyle over Nas/Lake "One neva knows"

Nas wasnt lying "he says all this slick stuff and act real funny"

Loved Prodigy, but G Unit def put a battery in his back. Whatever ground had been gained in terms of peacing up beef, was deaded once 50 signed Mobb. Plus 50 already had prior issues with Nas, so P kept that shyt going.

That was the song where Lake rapped about getting P’s chain back in 99. P should have dissed him over that beat.

And Nas was on the song. Same reason Nas got mad at P back in 2001 when he heard Mega going at him on a song with Prodigy.

Years had passed since then...they weren't even cool with each other at the time.

One Never knows dropped way after the beef between Nas and P was already out in the open (Destroy and Rebuild)

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Yeah I know. It dropped in 2004.
My point was that P had the same justification for dissing Nas in 2004 as Nas had for dissing P in 2001.
It’s a lil different since the beef was already set in motion at that time. They wasn't cool so Nas owed no loyalty to P during that time frame.

How does Sherm think he’s innocent when he was literally caught at the scene by NYPD and had a shootout with them :gucci:

Adams, 24, who had spent almost all of his teenage years behind bars, was caught by two nearby police officers who exchanged gunfire with him, hitting him several times, as he ran into a nearby housing project.

Sherm got so much love for Lake but his guidance helped him into a life of prison!

Nas second verse on Purple is 100 precent inspired by Lake!

Y'all just wanna deal with drama
Talk about nikkaz who got things, y'all ready to kill his momma
Everything you went to is underworld related
You sell your man out, not even your girl is sacred
You don't trust a soul, hold up, you moldin soldiers
to pull guns quick and always look behind the shoulder
Think of how many dudes died tryin to be down with you
Everybody's under six feet of ground but you
Still standin, still roamin through the streets, that's real
You a survivor, knowin all the beef is ill
You got a bunch of thugs witchu even now that's ready
Trustin your judgment, quick to put it down, they deadly
The hood love you but behind your back they pray for the day
A bullet hit your heart and ambulances take you away
That ain't love it's hate, think of all the mothers at wakes
whose sons you killed, and you ain't got a cut on your face?
Unmarked police cars roam the streets hard, the heat is God
Somebody tell these shorties reach for the stars
Instead they tell 'em how to reach through the bars, holdin a mirror
Lookin down a tear in jail, makin weapons to kill ya

We smoke three tokes nikka pour more Henny
He sighs with eyes that seen a war too many
Cold-blooded murderers, universal
Hood to hood, blowin smoke, state of mind is purple
