Being able to broker the return of the chain was worth something, and maybe Mega was smart enough to get something out of the system for doing it. Maybe a distribution deal, record deal for a group under him, being added to an upcoming tour.
I think Chris Lighty was managing Mobb Deep at the time, and it would have been him that Mega was hustling, not Prodigy.
