He beat the #2 P4P in MMA, which is easily the best win between either fighter.

He also was beat by a guy with a record of 18-10, who never had been a Champion, and only had 11 days preparation.......which is easily the worst loss between either fighter.

Like I said boxing has double the divisions and 4 champs per division. It's hard to compare accomplishments from 2 different sports.

No it's not. All I'm asking is what has Conor McGregor accomplished that will make his name be relevant 15-20 years from today in his sport?:jbhmm:

Adrien Broner has already accomplished something only 14 other people have been able to do in the 100+ history of his sport and is the youngest to ever accomplish it....what has Conor McGregor done?

And again, this article wasn't really about accomplishments.

Then where is the comparision to Adrien Broner?:dahell:

How you gonna compare someone to a fighter from a different sport, when the MMA fighter's resume isn't even close:mindblown:

Because he talked trash and lost....that makes him Adrien Broner?:what:

That is VERY simple logic imo, because Broner was hyped because of what he did in the ring (he was undefeated, 3x Champion over 3 different divisions, jumped up 2 divisions and won the Championship in his first fight there), not because he talked trash:snoop:

Why wouldn't McGregor be the new "Chris Weidman"? Why wouldn't he be the new "Rhonda Rousey"? Why wouldn't he be the new "Tito Ortiz"? You know...other MMA fighters:martin:

MMA heads always using Boxer's names to live off. First it's Floyd, now it's Broner:wow:

Agree to disagree.

Why would MMA fans use Broner to hype up Conor, when Conor is a lot more popular.

Conor's accomplishments:

- FW champion of the world (the best fighter from 136-145lb)
- Defeated the #2 P4P fighter in the world in record breaking time.
- Most KOs in the FW division.
- 2015 Fighter of the Year
- Currently, the 2nd biggest star in the sport
- Highest gate and attendance in the US.
- Most POTN awards.

Like I said, it's difficult to compare fighters from 2 different sports.

Nobody is using Broner's name to build up Conor.

What do you mean breh?:dwillhuh:

The article is called "did Conor McGregor just become Adrien Broner?"

If they aren't using Broner's name to attach to McGregor, like McGregor was trying to use Floyd, then why bring up a fighter from a totally different sport?:jbhmm:

Again, "Did Conor McGregor just become Tito Ortiz/Chris Weidman/Rhonda Rousey" would've been more suiting....why did they use Broner's name when there's 100s of MMA fighters more suitable to this comparision?

It was a simple comparison.

It was a simple comparison.

VERY simple.

Logic was obviously not being applied when it was written.

But again, this is what MMA heads do...attach their sports fighters to Boxers instead of fighters in their very own sports:manny:

I couldn't imagine a boxing article being written saying "Did Andre Ward just become Jon Jones":wow:

We all know MMA has a little brother complex with boxing.

The truth is boxing is a real sport, it's a legit sport, it has real rankings

MMA is just a some nikka-rigged shyt that just goes with the flow of whatever, there's no real rankings, weight classes don't make sense

Diaz and Mcgregor didn't even fight at welterweight, it was a catchweight of 168, Diaz isn't even ranked as a welterweight lmao, but they are acting as if he moved up in weight lmao

Mcgregor couldn't stop Diaz because of the weight all of a sudden, but when Floyd was fighting guys who actually weighed more than him by close to 20 pounds, "oh he can't knock anyone out" lol

UFC is just starving, they should've just waited for Conor to fight RDA, a fight he would win, and let him stay at 155 for a 3 fights, but they have zero patience

if Mcgregor can't handle being hit, his career might be over as a fighter because they will smell blood now, they know if they can put heat on him, he'll give up

he can dish it out, but he can't take it, which is a huge problem if you are fighter, because you are going to get hit in a fight.

So unless Mcgregor can work on his defense and avoid being hit, he might find himself in a world of hurt, and his career might be over

at 145 McGregor has one of the best chins, he took bombs from mendes and didn't flinch once :patrice:

I told nikkaz Aldo had no chance because he's a midget

I said Conor has no defense because Mendes landed shots on him

Those guys are too small to hurt him

at 155 he can hurt those guys but they can hurt him too

that's the difference

conor will fold under pressure, guys at 145 can't put heat on him because they are too small

what don't you understand

you went from "he can't handle being hit" to "he can't handle being hit by fighters in the division he is the champion of". Mendes is smaller than McGregor, but he's still a big 145.
I think most the lightweight division doesn't even have the hands to hurt mcgregor the way Diaz did at 168-169. Aldo losing had nothing to do with him being a midget wtf are you saying :dahell:

Mcgregor does not belong at 145 lmao

he is weigh bigger than them and he cuts down to clearly hve an advantage

Mendes is a midget lmao "At big one 145"

Diaz is a 155 pounder, he didn't out weigh conor at the catchweight they weighed the same

Diaz is not a heavy puncher, Diaz did not hit him nearly as much as Conor hit him, Conor was visible shaking after a clean body shot

these are bad signs, if you can hurt him, he will fold, they smell blood now

RDA said he's a lion when he is punching, but a cat when he is being punched, and that sums it up

He can dish it out but he can't take it

Plenty of guys at 155 can hurt Conor, if he can't put them away early he will have problems period
