Seriously if you didn't play Shenmue,you missed out breh
The first one was for dreamcast, and the sequel was for the first xbox, but nobody bought it.
I liked both of them. The first one especially, gave you an "oh shyt" feeling, because you had to be on your toes and press the right buttons in a second or two, or get your ass kicked in a street fight. You were also looking for clues and dealing with seedy motherfukkers, so the game was a real experience.
If anyone in this thread likes shenmue and hasn't played Yakuza 
I've actually been playin thru one as of recently. Such a great game. Two as well man I wanna smash lan dis fukkin head in brehs.
Idk how I feel about a modern interpretation tho. Part of the charm was the pacing and the qtes. At the time the qtes were fukkin mind blowing same with the combat.
I'd have the feeling that unless Suzuki gets back on board it just won't feel the same. It might be too fast paced and the slow exploration might get thrown to the wayside for faster linear styled gameplay. I enjoyed talkin to the broad the travel agency and her tellin me na talk to the sushi head. Oh u bum ass fukk get a job. Here raise these boxes on a forklift 9000 times while the game decides to continue the story...

The problem is I just fukkin tried to Collin McRae sega rally and damaged my main controller. I'll have to find my other one
Until then...try a land that 30 pound bass deep at the dam. Either that or marine fishing but reelin in those tuna literally makes my arm so jacked I look like Popeyes the next day. I guess I could beat some ass on shenmue wit this joint

I know right, I can't believe for 2 games straight they left us hanging about fighting Lan Di. That last rooftop scene for Shenmue 2 I was like we going to get him this time.

They really need to remaster 1 and 2 at least. The first one was amazing and the second one I never finished so this actually one of the few remakes I would care about.

The game didn't even break even. It cost anywhere from 40 to 80 million to produce.Because stupid Americans rode with sony, the Dreamcast was dead in America by the time S2 dropped
It was the 4th highest selling game in Dreamcast History, but I'll let you rewrite it bruh.
