Hmmm....Sheamus is Cena's age so what good would that be? Also they gave Sheamus the unstoppable babyface booking only two years into his WWE career. Cena ain't get that push until three years or so and that was after a successful heel gimmick that helped him turn. At the same time Cena started getting those split chants as early as 05-06 (Christian) and officially after 08 (HHH, Jericho) so the fans are not always receptive to someone receiving a favorable push. Sheamus already either had split crowds (DB) or decent pops since WM. Orton out pops him all the time.
To put this into perspective while Hulkamania was running wild Rock was in college football and Austin was Stunning in WCW/NWA. When Attitude Era was in force, Cena was training as "the Prototype". If history is any indicator, the next face of the WWE may be in NXT/FCW/developmental or isn't even signed yet. Prematurely crowning someone has backfired on the WWE a couple of times (Cena, Mcintyre, Lesnar etc.) and unless Sheamus tweaks his character it'll backfire even faster.
