-Well...Punk could be that guy if he wasn't such a failure as a face, his promos were WORSE than Cena's, that's pathetic for a guy as good as him on the mic
-Sheamus is 35, I'm still tripping off that
-They were building Alex Riley...then he disappeared, got a DUI, and I'm not even sure he still has a job
-They refuse to turn Miz, who's held the main title already once before
-They're attempting to build Cody back up with Sandow who's heating up on his own, he had something going before and during the mask era...then big slow came along...
-Zig Zag is just that damn good, crowd is always into his matches...potential there, but much like Rhodes, have never been a face to my memory
-Anybody heard from Johnny Curtis?
-Kofi's black
-Randy is too unstable

-Ryback seems like the safe answer (at least now it does)

Danielson is 31, so he might just pass through WWE's requirement of having young guys as the face of the company.
But WWE has other options instead of worrying about who the face of the company is going to be. They can always put out a NWO style storyline as the centerpiece of their program. Nexus had the potential to be just that, until they fed the whole group to Cena. I personally don't even care about having an entertaining top face as long as top heels are fun to watch. WWE can go ahead and push Sheamus the Irish Cena as much as they like as long as I get to hear Punk's promos about it every week.
But WWE has other options instead of worrying about who the face of the company is going to be. They can always put out a NWO style storyline as the centerpiece of their program. i still dont understand how you still need just 1 main superstar and a collection of rotatable mid/upper card guys then a pool filled with lower card men and women
its 2012, you have like 5 different shows and ppvs every month...you should have atleast 4 guys that can be seen as the face of the company at any given time...nikkas forget what kept the rock, taker, kane, steve austin, hbk, etc. so over and kept them from going stale too easily was because it was always two or more legitimately over/talented guys who could be the face of the company at any given time
it was like in 05 they atleast tried to make it balanced with batista and cena but cena sold so much more merch to his credit and was so dedicated compared to injury prone tista that he had to stay at the top. Same with bobby lashley, he was getting groomed to be that second guy but he quit...but its not like you dont have dedicated guys who could use atleast a run
truth, henry, etc. runs last year showed that black guys can draw and GET OVER as heels. Kofi is talented enough to get over as a potential top face, that feud with orton showed that. Cody Rhodes/Dolph Ziggler/Daniel Bryan are three of the most overall talented names on the roster but only one of these guys even has an actual gimmick and the other two have been floating around gimmick wise this entire year in to storylines that lacked interesting elements or suspense.
