I also sacrificed my 20's working nights (3pm-12am) and most weekends to secure my financial-freedom later in life.
I'm 37 now and yea I own shyt plus I'm debt-free, but I've spent the last 2 years trying to make-up lost time with loved-ones that I mostly neglected for a decade or so.
Making that money meant I didn't get to make nearly as many memories with family & friends...
...and I'm not entirely sure it was worth it.
yeah everybody situation is different. i wouldnt say i sacrificed much during school but i was definitely working harder that a lot of people (like two jobs and in school) and maybe made it back to my hometown once a year. but now that i got a little cushion i go see my family several times a year... the only down part is that they are mostly still working every weekday lolol. i guess you need to get to the point where your whole circle can enjoy life. that would be the ideal. seems easier to do with a million dollar worth
