I'd imagine his mom, grandma, aunt, etc told him something like that in the last decade too. Children are not toys that you pick up or sit down in one place or another. Creating broken homes on purpose is mentally and emotionally damaging, and it's financially damaging. 8 children, 3 women...for a guy that will never play professional sports again and has a lot of living left to do. You willingly blew up your financial future for what exactly...

There has to be shame and embarrassment involved again. Allowing culture to constantly promote chaos and disorder has a negative impact on our culture and society. Being a single mother is a financial lynching for most women. Your ability to escape poverty and have a comfortable life reduces heavily. And being a father who willingly isn't in the home is cowardly. Stop letting these men off the hook and call it what it is, sucker shyt.

One has to wonder what was going on in Cam's household given that he has this mindset and behavior despite growing up in a married two-parent household. His upbringing might've been dysfunctional behind closed doors. His father is a pastor and we all know how womanizing many of them can be.

Y'all running around here scared to get married because it can possibly lead to divorce, yet making children are some of the most anchoring negros around.

You can get into a car accident, yet you still drive right?
Your plane can crash, yet you still fly right?
You can get food poisoning, yet you still eat out right?

People need to stop using this fake "fear of divorce" stance and just admit that they are just more attracted to the broken home lifestyle. Even if your marriage was guaranteed to last, a lot of people still wouldn't do it.

Dudes are just attracted to the "no accountability" lifestyle. They want to keep the door open to hooking up with new women with as little financial penalties and repercussions as possible. But they also want to keep women in situationships and/or make them baby mamas to maintain access and limit their options to leave.

Props for the full vid. This broken homes convo was a lot deeper than I thought. She herself came from a "broken home" but had to be clear to not call her father a deadbeat because he was active and present in her life. She then proceeds to salute him for taking care of the kids himself and stills call his house broken . At this point we're gonna have to hear from the kids when they're adults about their experience from this tragic broken home

This is the mentality a lot of Black girls encounter. We talk about marriage and compare Black college girls to White college girls, but those White colleges girls are all being proposed to by White college guys. Where’s the large grouping of young Black men who are buying engagement rings and proposing before they are 30 themselves?

Agreed. I will say that marriage rates for young black people in some parts of the country (mainly the south) are healthy, so there are black men around who still value a stable home. But you're right that the mentality for marriage amongst black men is not high enough overall in the country, and it leads to the chaos we see. It also explains a lot of the poor financial literacy and bad life experience a lot of us have. Even before Kevin Samuels was pimping this bullshyt, how many threads/posts have we seen on the Coli that boil down to "men don't care what job or education a woman has when dating." This is something anyone who has been to college or had a decent job knows is false...so what does that tell you about the demographics on this forum. Why do white men constantly marry teaching and nursing students in college? Because they understand the family can be on her insurance (govt employee and hospital insurance plans are some of the best in the country), while they focus on advancing through their career until they can afford a better life.

Why do white men studying medicine/law/engineering/etc constantly marry women studying similar shyt? So they can consolidate debt, build credit, and be ready to step into that next class level as quickly as possible (private schools, country club, nice neighborhood/subdivision, etc). None of this is some secret plot either. White people are very open about this. Asian people too. Indian people too. Arab people too. Meanwhile we've got retail workers declaring they aren't impressed by higher education so it must not matter for other men either. Good luck with that.

Marriage is a financial tool. The government gives you money to incentivize it, society looks on it favorably, financial institutions cater to you, etc. The fukk up we're witnessing is dooming us. This is such an interesting time with so many black women getting degrees. For all the talk about men going their own way and not wanting college, you'd think black men would be stepping into the huge demand for trades, construction, etc. Yet we're not. Think about the blueprint that's possible...man working trades/blue collar job, woman in teaching/nursing. We can literally run the same play white people run, but without the man going to college. And yet we'd rather do nothing.
