still can't believe the bad guys in this are played by Helen Miran, Lucy Liu and the weird looking chick from West Side Story... in a movie where Chuck is the lead hero and his team is a bunch of c-list tv level actors. easily one of the worst casts in the history of comic book movies.

some good and some bad with this.
-first 2 acts were good. act 3 they threw too much at it.
-took too many people powers away. if they gonna take that many peoples power away they could at least let Shazam all their strength and be on some 1 man wrecking crew shyt.
-the villians started out cool. their entrance at the musuem was fire. then kind of turned into just generically strong villains. they were strong but they were basically on some flight/strength shyt a little too much
-lucy liu's character had the power turn people into zombies, then barely did anything with that.
-too much focus on freddie, he's basically another Billy Batson. no reason for the only other white boy in the click to have any focus. Could have built up one of the other characters. But i get it because they wanted to play of his simping
-the foster mom was too goodlooking for that role. she was so goodlooking she didn't even seem like a mother figure.
-the dragon was cool, the other creatures was a little much.
-they got a little lost in doing too much in the 3rd act
-the effects were good.
unicorns were good, skittles + unicorns was
-end credits were okay. Looks like DC is still building towards something at least.
-the axis chick had cool powers.

I just don't wanna watch more wisecracking super heroes punch cgi monsters to end movies anymore. I'm turned off more every trailer and ad that comes out and ive been a Shazam fam ages...I'll be honest idk if I'm even gonna watch this and if so I'm gonna be 2 edibles deep.

is he? i saw his Pfizer tweet, and i know he played Kurt Warner in some God sucking Christian movie, so i kinda had an inkling, but has there been more? he's not a movie star. i didn't hate the first one or anything but the entire movie felt like i was watching the studio's 43rd choice to play the lead.

If this was just the original trio of Billy, Mary, and Freddie it would have helped the pacing in the third act. Trying to find something for the other three to do slowed down the pacing of the fight too much.
Freddie definitely had the strongest arc and keeping it to the trio would have made the threat of losing one member hit harder.
Otherwise it was good and funny.
Loved how they decorated the Rock of Eternity.

I saw this tonight and its was cool. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't anything to rave about it; it was just alright. The best part of this movie were the character interactions. The people at the theater I went to laughed quite a bit at the jokes. There were far too many moving parts in this movie though. The plot should've been condensed and the villains weren't memorable. I'd give this movie a 6 or 7 out of 10.
