Houston, by way of Pittsburgh.
2003

If Drumma wasn't talking, this sounds exactly like a Zay beat, except it dropped years before anyone knew who he was:

I think you're weirdly trying to prove me wrong or make a point when I'm not even disagreeing with you.

My whole point is Zaytoven influenced this whole current generation of producers. That's it my g.

Shawty Redd was on before Jeezy. Unless you weren't in the know, you wouldn't know that. If you know Drama's "Left, Right, Left", then you were already familiar with Shawty Redd years before Jeezy.

When Gucci and Jeezy were both using beats from him during 04-05, Redd got some notoriety and clout due to timing.

Drama gave him his start
I dont know why he dissapeared though.

I kinda wish that Drama had a longer career though He was ahead of the time. Imagine him rapping on Lil Jon, KLC, David Banner, and getting more beats from Redd.

how, they got hot together JEezy was already popping then hoped on Shawty red beats, he blew up because of that sound, before shawty red sound, Jeezy was making music that sound like trick daddy and career was going nowhere
You do know that Shaty Redd was on Jeezys albums before his name was Jeezy right? We’re talking his first project from like 2000.

Yea. Thats understandable. Same way Kanye was on before the Roc but he wouldn’t dare say The Roc ain’t where he hit his stride. nikkas ain’t go “who’s the producer” until Jeezy. Respectfully.

Yes I do. I’m not saying Shawty Redd was put on by Jeezy. Or got his start with Jeezy. But he got HOT with Jeezy. That’s a fact bruh. Before that the nikka was basically local.
Relax bruh. You dont know what your talking about and the dude that you were responding too was very right.
Shawty Redd was before Jeezy
Before Shawty Redd Jeezy was literally rapping just like trick daddy. And it was borderline wack. Which is why you didnt know.
Drama and GUCCI went national with shawty redd before Jeezy

Even then, I wouldn't even say that's true of Shawty Redd. He had a deal with MCA and an album that was secured to drop in 2002.

Even still, there were people who weren't up on Redd until he produced Snoop's "Sensual Seduction" after his work with Jeezy.

:what: nikka I know all of this. I even remember when Jeezy had the fukked up hairline I even have old Jeezy tracks. U nikkas spend more time trying to be right than listening. I’m not saying he started with Jeezy. I’m saying he got HOT with Jeezy. That’s the fukking truth. No one gave a fukk who produced Left Right Left and I used to fukk wit that song heavy. nikkas ain’t go “Who’s The Producer” until he got his run with Jeezy.

Bro I’m not even denying any of this but yet and still. He didn’t get hot until Jeezy. I don’t even see how this is an argument the production was a big part of Jeezy’s run.
