First ep was solid but kinda underwhelming but it's ep one what can you do?

Dark vibe established tho. There was like four scenes that weren't in a dark, shadow filled room or at night.

it was ok. Only the first ep so i'll let it build. Hope they wont be doing all that back n forth all throughout the show tho. That gets annoying. Drunk lois lane got all these cac problems

I like it, I wonder if the director has the edge to take the material as dark as it was in the book.....It is atmospheric, but doesn't quite have the menace and discomfort I was looking for. As a murder mystery, it is kind of absurd, and the series hasn't quite grounded itself in reality yet, which isn't always as important in a book. Here, it comes off a little ridiculous in some spots, the detective scenes, at no point did I believe that was an actual detective, and not merely the love interest.
