wheres kobe :leon:

:comeon: How are you really calculating this? Iverson didn't even leave the first round that year, you just cherry picked a bunch of playoff stats with good numbers without any actual reasoning behind callin them "the best".

Kobe in first round exit 06-07:
32.8 5.2 4.4

Kobe beasted in the " real finals", the ECF teams(while great Defensively) were just a formality. That's why Kobe dominanting in Game 7 against the blazers was so important, that was essentially the championship right there, and he saved the season.

And Kobe from 08-10 was better in the playoffs then he was from 00-02.

Also when you look at Kobe without shaq and shaq without Kobe it's night and day. Shaq is David Robinson status without Bryant

Actually the role players hitting all those 3s saved the season in that game 7. Both he and Shaq allowed a 3-1 series to go 7 in the first place.

All of the teams were just a formality. There was not team that could match both Shaq and Kobe. Most teams didn't have an answer for one of them, nobody could handle them both.

Why ignore 06 and 07? It's not a coincidence that while he was at his absolute peak individually during those seasons he didn't match his play during the title runs (both 00-02 and 09-10) during those seasons. Point is it's harder to get it done in the playoffs, even as an individual without help. Shaq at his peak, especially against a watered down league, is the ultimate help. Gasol and co. were of great help as well. It's very simple when Kobe has had advantages up front he has won and performed well in the playoffs. When he hasn't he hasn't. No knock on Kobe but let's not try to act like he has gotten it done without help.

Kobe was actually the leading scorer for the first 3 rounds in 2001. Then Shaq dominated the finals.

Through the first 3 rounds Kobe averaged 31.6 and Shaq averaged 29.2.

Kobe was a borderline top 10 player in 2000. You can argue that Shaq carried him that year, but not in 2001. In 01 that was truly a 1a/1b duo. Kobe was top 3ish that year. In 2002 he was top 5.

He never won a finals game before Kobe

Shaq was the king of sweeps before Bryant , literally every single year he got swept.

And that's with ALL NBA first team Penny from 95-96':youngsabo:(shout out to my nikka penny)

True back in the days Shaq had that "gets swept" tag to him, kind of forgotten now tho

Where's Jordan? :mjpls:
