Everyone who was watching back then knows Shaq was the dominant force and Kobe was riding shotgun.

Kobe in 00-01 playoffs.
29.4 7.3 6.1

Kobe in 01-02 playoffs.
26.6 5.8 4.6

Carried :usure:

nikkas in here clearly didn't watch those games during the last two title runs where Kobe was shytting on the Kings and Spurs in their primes like it was nothing not to mention he was 22-23 years old when this was happening...

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7Lp5aQq4zI"]Kobe Bryant 28 points vs Pacers, Game 4 takeover 1999-00 - YouTube[/ame]

:usure:

Kobe Bryant 2001 Western Conference Finals Averages:
33.3 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 7.0 apg, 1.3 spg, 1.0 bpg

Kobe Bryant 2002 Western Conference Finals Averages:
27.1 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 3.9 apg, 1.4 spg, 1.1 bpg

Shaq got off against the East because they had the weakest big men and overall teams in the league, the WCF was the real championship back then.

 Gotta love the Coli. Shaq was a beast during that time, there is no doubt. People like to throw out words like carry and go on and on about whos team it was but the reality is that Kobe and Shaq benefitted from playing with each other in a league that had reached it's low point talent wise. The center position was weak as hell. All of the top perimeter players were in the East and had the likes of Matt Geiger or Hakeem's corpse playing center for them. Shaq's only comp in the post, Duncan, was rolling with the likes of Mario Elie and Derek "the answer for Kobe" Anderson :laff:. Kings and Mavs were soft. TrailBlazers were talented yet lacked a truly transcendant player meanwhile the Lakers had two. And that's pretty much what it comes down to, the Lakers had two great players and other teams were lucky to just have one during that time.

These dudes act like shaq won anything before he joined kobe on the lakers.

the only finals where kobe played well :pachaha:

00-02-was robin
08-struggled
09-his best finals
10-gasol carried him

:jawalrus:
It's the truth

Kobe:
2001 76ers - 98.9 DRtg (#5)
2002 Nets - 99.5 DRtg (#1)
2004 Pistons - 94.1 DRtg (#2)
2008 Celtics - 98.9 (#1)
2009 Magic - 101.9 DRtg (#1)
2010 Celtics - 103.8 DRtg (#5)

??? 02' he averaged 27 on 50% shooting with 8.8 on 63% in the 4th quarter

How did Gasol carry him in 2010?

Kobe - 28.6 ppg, 40.5% FG, 52.8% TS, 8.0 rpg, 3.9 apg, 3.9 tos?

He never won a finals game before Kobe

Shaq was the king of sweeps before Bryant , literally every single year he got swept.

And that's with ALL NBA first team Penny from 95-96':youngsabo:(shout out to my nikka penny)

even kobe knew, thats why he ran shaq out

nah shaq ran himself out because he couldn't take kobe taking over the team.
His childish ego is just that childish. Shaq can eat it..
He could of won 2-3 more rings with the lakers if he stayed quiet and aged gracefully as kobe was becoming superman.

Outside of Duncan what other big men did the West or the league for that matter have to offer? Chris "I'm in love with 18 footers" Webber or maybe Kevin "I'm 6'11 because being 7'0 would mean I would have to play center" Garnett. As talented as those western teams that they played were they were soft as fukk and not built for playoff basketball. The one team that was built for the playoffs basically had Tim and some nikkas.

i read a stat somewhere that shaq averaged 33/15 in the playoffs from 00-02... n1ggas forget

:laff: @ kobe stans tryna put Kobe as a 1b... fuk outta here... Kobe has never put historically great numbers in the Finals.. in fact, he has the least impressive finals stats of anyone in the top 10 all-time

"but but but he led the team in rebounds game 7 against the Celtics" :childplease:
