Good shyt ZekeNah, she went there. Very shytty on her end. If I was SAS, I'd cut her water off. Now you fukking with my bread because you in your feelings. Obvious she feels some type of way about something. Her even mentioning SAS and his negotiations dont even make sense here.
Monica McNutt calls out 'jealousy' in Stephen A. Smith contract negotiations with ESPN
After Stephen A. Smith called WNBA players jealous of Caitlin Clark, ESPN analyst Monica McNutt pointed the jealousy finger back at him.awfulannouncing.com
Edit:
yea, I had just googled it, wild to say to about someone who was/is a "friend".
Damn We all know the cardinal rule is don't talk about other people's money. If she was keeping it real, she'd acknowledge she's still in her feelings over the CC phenomenon instead of disguising being a hater on some " bu bu bu all of these things were in the works" prior to CC being drafted.https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2024/09/19/monica-mcnutt-espn-stephen-smith/ - She said it in the Washington Post.
Non paywall if you don't fukk with WaPo - Monica McNutt calls out 'jealousy' in Stephen A. Smith contract negotiations with ESPN
“The numbers he’s going after because of [Pat] McAfee, [Troy] Aikman, [Joe] Buck, he might say they’re raising market value,” McNutt told WaPo reporter Ben Strauss. “But at the bottom of that is, ‘They’re not about to get paid more than me.'”
“Sounds like jealousy to me, but I haven’t seen Inside Out 2.”
If you don't read just say that. It would've been less effort for you to google this than to say this dumb shyt.

You should have used the full passage:Nah, she went there. Very shytty on her end. If I was SAS, I'd cut her water off. Now you fukking with my bread because you in your feelings. Please tell me what it means to protect the asset and compete at a high level,” McNutt said. “It’s like suddenly y’all don’t know how to talk about competition because there’s vaginas involved.”
There was also the idea of jealousy and the way Sharpe and Smith demanded she admit that other WNBA players were jealous of Clark’s money and fame as if it were an important revelation.
“You mean to tell me that nobody in the NBA and NFL is jealous?” McNutt asked at breakfast. “Why is this a thing that women can’t be?”
She compared those accusations to Smith’s very public contract demands, in which he often has declared that he deserves to be the highest-paid talent at ESPN.
“The numbers he’s going after because of McAfee, [Troy] Aikman, [Joe] Buck, he might say they’re raising market value,” she said.
“But at the bottom of that is, ‘They’re not about to get paid more than me.’”
“Sounds like jealousy to me,” she added, “but I haven’t seen ‘Inside Out 2.’”
To McNutt, there was a disconnect not just in how talking heads were talking about women’s sports but how they talked about women.
“You’re telling women how to exist,” she said. “If we’re going to talk about athletes, let’s talk about athletes. Let’s not tell women how to compete, because that’s something different.”
She can use the analogy all she wants, that doesnt stop it from being a dumb analogy. SAS and Shannon have both argued that WNBA players who are whining about CC getting all that shine is dumb because "a rising tide lifts all boats. More eyes on WNBA because of CC/Reese, the more money for everybody. SAS has said on more than one occasison how he is happy that McAfee has gotten his deal because that 1. Showed him how to move with the content shyt and 2. Will help in negotiations.and whats gonna upset people is she is within her bounds to make this analogy since SAS been public with his negotiations. She also doesn’t say SAS is right or wrong with the demands.
What players have whined about her getting shine? The most anyone has said is to acknowledge other players as well. A'ja Wilson has the greatest season in WNBA history and wins the second unanimous MVP, yet they spent a minute talking about her but 10-15 minutes talking about Caitlin. She can use the analogy all she wants, that doesnt stop it from being a dumb analogy. She just reached hard as hell trying to talk shyt, because she is in her feelings. Hell even in the big "blowup" SAS got her to admit that jealousy is at play with the CC hate.
I haven’t seen a single WNBA player complain about the attention Clark is getting for the league. That’s been stuff that observers have put on to them. I’ve also seen many say they are happy at the attention for the reasons Smith said that about McAfee. She can use the analogy all she wants, that doesnt stop it from being a dumb analogy. Why even bring his contract up in this discussion at all? Saying the man is operating with jealousy is whole lot different than him wanting to get what he feels he's worth as the producer of one of ESPN's flagship shows. In fact, her statement probably impacts the negotiations negatively. You should have used the full passage:

He may get mad at her, but she right and don’t seem to need him/them anymore.

It was the media that made national news out of get getting a flagrant foul, but when worse fouls happened to other players, nothing. No major stories about Angel Reese getting slammed by the neck by AT or Brittney Griner going after Rickea Jackson.
Because it was an analogyWhy even bring his contract up in this discussion at all?
No it doesn’t and again, he has brought it up publicly. It’s fair game at that point.Saying the man is operating with jealousy is whole lot different than him wanting to get what he feels he's worth as the producer of one of ESPN's flagship shows. In fact, her statement probably impacts the negotiations negatively.
She isn’t battling him lol. The article is about women’s sports coverage. Her methods of going about this battle with him is tone deaf at best and clout chasey at worst.
thats why she said that in that statement that made her a bigger deal. You agreeing with her.For years prior, the WNBA was not worth the time that First Take's spot in the sport's world.

I read the full passage. Her methods of going about this battle with him is tone deaf at best and clout chasey at worst. It kinda proves him right. We all have eyes. For years prior, the WNBA was not worth the time that First Take's spot in the sport's world. First Take is all about what's trending or big. None of them should be offended if they didn't get time because people would've turned the channel before Angel or CC started getting people interested in women's basketball by way of college. The final four averaged 7 million viewers in 2023. The WNBA finals averaged 700k (and this was their MOST watched). The numbers dictate she shouldn't be coming at anyone at ALL about how they cover what. Why didn't he cover it before? As of last year people still ain't watching. If it's Aces vs Liberty again it'll probably be a repeat of that. Attacking other people's shows and "ego" ain't a good way to garner good will about a sport that clearly needs it.

You can't skip the analogy like it ain't nothing though. There's extra context after the earlier shots on his show. She had a ton of different ways to go about that and I've seen you post enough that I know you know how interviews work. They probably gave her a chance to clean it up and make sure she was alright with it in print especially if that's supposed to be her real life friend.Because it was an analogy

My only point share the entire quote and have the convo instead of the part that can be spun as a salacious.
