You’re assuming that the people like posters on this site who big up Shannon will actually tune in and watch the show. Hell, the majority of people weren’t even watching Undisputed and mainly going only by social media clips.

Of course Monday and Tuesday ratings are going to be higher compared to other days of the week even without Shannon.

If they weren't even watching him on Undisputed, what makes you think they are going to watch him on ESPN? The new numbers now say that FS1 are now in more households than ESPN, so that excuse doesn't fly anymore.
Imagine what would happen if you could get by on shytty tv ratings and decent online numbers.. Networks wouldn’t have to shuffle people around or fire them. First Take and Undisputed are NATIONALLY televised shows. I don’t know what the numbers are now, but undisputed was pulling under a million people. That’s not good. I don’t think First Take pulls too much over a million but they’re definitely doing better than Undisputed even after the Skip and Shannon experiment. I’d definitely bet money that Shannon is a lock for Monday and Tuesday which should bring in good numbers fresh off football games this season.

Neither one of those shows are pulling a million or barely even over 500K of viewers as the numbers are public record.

Those morning sports talk shows just don't pull in viewers like that.

Yeah I know they’re both low but I know at one time First Take was at a million. Personally, I just think people are tired of them shows like I am. What’s the benefit of watching people yell at each other about like three teams? That shyt is old now.

Of course they will.

You think Shannon won't be a bigger draw than Swagu, Orlovsky, or whoever they rotate in and out on the days he's not there? :mjlol:

Monday and Tuesday are the main football days. The rest of the week is recycled topics.
Just asking. EPSN's ratings are down in general and it seems like people have started to sour on the disingenuous "debate" model they implement.

Ratings have been going up despite ESPN subscriptions going down:

ESPN’s First Take wrapped July with a double-digit ratings gain over the same month last year, continuing a streak of year-to-year audience growth.

July marked the 12th consecutive month that First Take’s ratings improved over the same period a year earlier. The morning show, hosted by Molly Qerim and with lead panelist Stephen A. Smith, averaged 363,000 daily viewers for the month, a 26 percent gain over July 2022. That’s the largest percentage growth of any month in the current streak. During the 12-month run, First Take also posted its best January ratings in its 16-year history (561,000), as well as its best March (452,000) and first quarter (506,000).

Not sure what ESPN or Shannon want, but I guarantee you SAS doesn't want him there 5 days a week :sas1:
SAS didn’t want him there in the first place until he realized he could use Shannon for the attention and the celebrity connections that he has on his podcasts.
