i dont necessarily think there should be an arbitrary line where you an ineligible, but to be clear joel has missed too many games to at this point say he has the best case for mvp over all the other candidates. even if he plays in exactly 65 games, is he more impactful than sga or jokic if they play 75-81?

NBA is like buggy software that every patch just ends up fukking up more and more.
Requiring a minimum number of games is stupid: What if a player is averaging 60 points a night and his team starts 42-0, then he gets injured and misses 20 games and his team goes 0-20, then he comes back and averages 60 again to help his team finish 20-0.
You got a 62-20 team with a player who went 62-0 while averaging 60 points a game and he's not the MVP?
For comparisons sake, this would be the equivalent of an NFL player missing 4 games and not being eligible for the MVP.

This is a proxy war against load management, and the collatoral damage is the integrity of the league.

Cant account for real injuries though. It was silly to blow this many games so early. Dude could legit give you 35, 10, 5 and get nothing. When you think about it that actually benefits the team. nikka could fukk round and not be eligible for a supermax on his next deal.
Then he should try to play more
:lupe:

The integrity of the league is what's trying to be saved. I'm not against taking games off but 20 games off for load management is excessive, you don't deserve your awards.

And an NFL player QB doesn't have an official threshold but absolutely would be out of the race when the ballot is in with 4 games missed.
