Bro in not talking about players getting paid they salary. That would be hating. We are talking about a player receiving awards over players who play more games. Its nothing wrong with rewarding those players. And you dont know my work history. I was in the Marines 8 years in infantry. People who play sports do not work harder than infantry. You dont get off days unless you are really injured. You dont know anything about how hard I work or what I do for a living lol
You aren’t putting in the same amount of work currently.

I appreciate your service tho. I still don’t think you should officially put a number for these media driven awards. Media already unofficially police’s it

72*

62 is like 75% which is a C average. You dont even make the honor roll with a C average.

72 is too high. If that's the rule Steph, Lebron, Kawhi, Harden, and even guys like Embiid might never make another all NBA team again. I think low 60s are more appropriate.

Scoring title should go back to total points instead of top average.
It should still be based on average, but it should be a combo of games played or points scored. A player shouldn’t lose the scoring title if they only played in 55 games, but scored over 2k points. Thats over 36ppg. On the flip side, if one player Is averaging 30.2 and another player is averaging 30.1, but the player who averaged 30.1 played in one more game and scored more total points for the year, they shouldn’t be the scoring champ.

68+ is entirely too high. 60-63 is cool.

Why? Missing 20 games due to "rest" or an injury you can damn well play through (look at Giannis last night), shouldn't be rewarded. I think the minumum should be 70 games. If you get a legitimate injury like an ankle injury, where you would miss 3-4 weeks, then that can be overlooked, but instances of sitting out games due to fake injuries to cover up resting like Luka, Kyrie & Giannis are doing right now should absolutely count against you if you're in the race for MVP, an All-Star appearance or making All-NBA 1st team. This bullshyt has to stop at some point. If players really cared about awards, then it's time to tie it to availability. No more sitting out nationally televised games, just to rest. You should be denied consideration if you sit more than 5 games a season due to resting. If you want to sit out the second night of a back-to-back, cool, if you want to take a night off during a road game, fine, but don't bytch and complain later when your name doesn't come up in the MVP race. Don't act shocked or dismayed when you don't get 1st team All-NBA, when you sat out 15 games, and took yourself out of the running.

If these players can't handle back-to-backs anymore, or think that the schedule is unfair, then talk to the NBAPA, and shorten the season. If players can't handle an 82 game season, then shorten it to 60-65 games. Start the season around Christmas. This eliminates all of those problems, and leaves players with no more excuses to miss games due to BS reasons.

if you look at the list of MVP winners, not counting shortened seasons due to lockout or covid, it looks like every MVP has in the last 60 years has played over 70 games, most over 75

I think 66 is fine in case you have a weird year where the top guys all have to miss a couple weeks for minor injury or something. you don’t want some weird shyt where the 4th best choice wins simply for playing more games, that’s goofy too.

i dont think there necessarily needs to be a cutoff point or minimum but i think games played should factor into how your season is judged, like personally i think claxton in 63 games has more of an impact as a defender than jjj in 50 games.

There are bonuses attached to these awards.

Minimum games played and minutes played per game. So injured players aren't in opening tip off to get their money.
