Saw a screening of this. This movie is hilarious, Bad Boys level funny. Plays really well on the punk ass emasculated young dude trope. Great writing for this type of film. Entire theater was cracking up 80% of the movie.
Is it good?
It's straight.....Not trying to revel too much because I don't think the majority of yall seen it yet.
But I think a lot of people will crab on the movie because it's a comedy........To me it didn't bother me too much.
To me the negative thing about this movie is that it rushed through two storylines in the movie
IMO they should have fleshed out.....Once other people chime in on the film I'll go in depth.
As I said before the movie is straight a good Comedy/Action film.
A solid C+ from me.
Side Note: Good LAWD Regina Hall's booty was on FULL SWOLE MODE in those red pants that girl got a DONKEY
Sam L mentioned in his breakfast club interview that the comedy in the film is not on some PC shyt, and there's a particular scene/joke that may offend...can you confirm/deny this? Been mad curious since he mentioned it, lol. gonna peep it later today
Its 90s black tv sitcom style humor if that makes sense lolHaven't seen Sam's interview but I think
he may be talking about the lil ongoing joke when they made fun of a particular
Army camaraderie program in the film.
(You'll understand when you watch it)
If that's what Samuel was talking about
I myself didn't find it offensive. But you have to understand you're talking to a guy
That doesn't understand why so many people made such a big fuss about the "British Actors" scene in She's Gotta Have (Netflix series).
In the social media work we live in now I could see somebody being "Bored" and try to make this a issue and push an agenda. The film made it clear Sam's character was the last of "Alpha male" generation.
