Exactly. And the more reasonable the comp, the more likely the player is to be that. Milroe comped to Hurts or a more experienced Anthony Richardson is reasonable. Bc Hurts has come down a notch so he’s not some unicorn

Meanwhile Shaduer, or any QB, comped to Burrow is not reasonable. Its chasing unicorns.

Its a red flag if no one can name another successful, reasonable comp for Shaduer that’s not the 2nd best QB of the decade :heh:

I mean we might as well say Milroe is Josh Allen if that's what we doing. And honestly that's a better comp looking at their college careers then Sheduer and Burrow :dead:

TYRONE GA!
No, I don’t.

Put it this way: Sam Howell, Aidan O’Connell are probably better pure passers than Anthony Richardson. He has looked terrible at time this year. Yet ask 32 GMs they are all taking him over them. As would I. Bc of upside. I doubt he runs, but if he does and it’s 4.4 range forget about it.

PLUS I think he’s seen as a Hurts/Cam type leader of men. Shaduer? :francis: I have my concerns.

Plus all the pull from his brand and his pops. It’s gonna be like dating a 7 who thinks she’s a dime. No thanks

I'm not watching pull/influence from Deion. I'm looking at him throw. He could very well be a bust no doubt but Ive seen Milroe miss way too many easy passes in comparison to Shadeur.

I will give you Milroe having a higher upside but that's it.

His best comp, at least to me, would be Kenny Pickett.

KP was a:
  • meh athlete
  • meh in the pocket
  • Very average arm
But he was lauded for his poise and accuracy. Similarly to Shadeur, he also just chucked the ball to one of the best WR's in the NCAA (i.e. Addison).

So he is going to have to be super smart with pre-reads, etc. in order to even crack the top 15 list.

He also is going to have to show a ton of humility. But having Deion Sanders as your coach and father, this will probably be the biggest headwind.
Kenny Pickett benefited from a weak QB draft too

You get it.

In order or be an elite qb, you have to be generational. In order to be top 10, top 12, you have to be exceptional, special. By the time you get to 15 you already lookin at mid. Everyone else? Congratulations you’re a NFL QB. No one cares.

Everyone at that level can just check boxes. There is a reason Kenny Pickett, or Mason Rudolph, or Mac Jones, or Gardner Minshew can come in relief and look decent. Yet no one cares and their teams are looking for replacements. Its bc they aren’t exceptional, they are just box checkers. Shaduer is a box checker. ‘He makes smart reads and can distribute thr ball’. Congratulations?!

Here’s a scenario….You’re the raiders/giants/browns

You hire Liam Cohen or Ben Johnson as coach. Let’s say Cam ward goes #1. You have .#2 pick. Would you rather

A) take Shaduer at #2, or

B) Take Travis Hunter/Mason Graham/Tet McMillan at # 2 and trade a 3rd for Malik Willis
