I think the real story here is why is weed still on the banned substances list? Why do companies still test for weed in office job environments? It’s an old antiquated way of thinking. Weed shouldn’t be looked at like real drugs that cause addiction or that really causes you to do dumb shyt.

Y’all can play the rules are rules game all you want but people are right in being outraged. The punishment don’t fit the crime.
I understand the debaete about weed but thats a different discussion.

She broke the rules now must suffer the consequences it is what it is:yeshrug:

can we just agree that blake was simply a choker during prime time? so much talent wasted then bolt comes around and you forget about him

You sure you don't mean Powell. Broke the WR 3 times. Ran the most sub 10 100m times in history but only has 2 bronze in the World Champions.

This. Just because we're generally easing up on weed doesn't mean we should expect the rest of the world to do the same. America has Pride month. Other countries will give you lashes til your back bleeds if you blow a kiss at someone of the same sex.

If people have an issue with their rules, here's a novel concept for them: look over what their rules are and point out what you don't like now instead of waiting for someone to break the rule and then be mad.

people just don’t get it and think that America is the only standard bearer. When the Russians/USSR and the Chinese were the dope “fiends” of the 80s and early 2000s, their athletes (like Americans) were getting bans left and right.

the fukkin USSR basically perfected the art of doping in the 80s and they still got found out.

yea and them countries are also stuck on tradition. I know because I have been to a lot of those super conservative countries. It’s the old guard way of thinking. It made sense back when we didn’t have the information, now There is too much information out there to still have such old and stubborn way of thinking. A lot of the younger generation in those same countries also disagree with these stupid ass rules. He’ll look at Hong Kong?

so you mean to tell me Kohn Cena should have apologized to China for simply acknowledging Tawain as a country? That’s that same old stupid way of thinking. Yes it sucks she had her moment taken away but this is going to get the conversation going

You still don't understand. It's not just about being healthy in Olympic year.

Yohan Blake peaked at 21/22. Second fastest man ever over 100/200m. 1 World Gold and 2 Olympics silvers all done between 2011-2012. 2013 he suffers a hamstring injury and has never ran a sub 9.90 time in 100m again and only 1 sub 20 200m time or won another individual medal at the World and Olympics since 2012

Aries Merritt in 2012 won the Olympic gold and broke the WR in 110mh. He also ran 6 sub 13 sec times that year before breaking the WR making it 7. In 2013 he got a rare kidney disease he recovered and returned to racing in 2015. He won a bronze medal but has never ran a sub 13 110mh time since 2012.

The misfortune that happened to Blake and Merritt happened 3 years before the Rio Olympics. The injury and illness impacted the rest of their careers and haven't been the same since.

Walter Dix is another one

Wayde van Niekerk another one as well ever since his injury 4 years ago he hasn't run under 44 seconds in the 400 and only once under 45 seconds

Wasn’t there a runner who got a four year ban for what she alleges was meat from a taco truck or some shyt? The amounts were in line with someone who orally consumed it instead of shooting it up
