This is a GREAT show. So many layers to it and it really illustrated how many different things were working against Brenton ever getting his justice. So sad. So true. Excellent series.

I don't think there need be a second season, unless they go a True Detective route.

I know its off topic, but them cars being dirty the whole season annoyed the shyt outta me
:laff:

That shyt is inaccurate as hell, them guido cops with Chargers be at the car wash religiously, no matter the weather...

I could tell army breh was another black Brit soon as he spoke. His accent was toooooo try-hard
:ohhh:

pretty much a mix of the killing and training day. Regina King character was annoying af even for a grieving mother!
Best line was when Messiah told Seth “get back on that corner before I take that away from u too!”
:russ:
Yo the mother was up there with them piece of shyt cops with being the most annoying people ever. She was so stupid.

On episode 9 right now.... This shyt doesn't really get interesting until ep 7 so I can understand why people bail out on this show kinda early.... :francis:

I hope theres a season 2
Those pigs gotta pay

Didn' like the ending, but it had to be that way :mjcry:

just finished binge watching this weekend, was a good series but a lot of loose ends not sure if a Season 2 was green lighted, because I'm quite angry that some angles of the story weren't addressed. I hate the ending but it was realistic.

I mean we can’t even get a win on a tv show, why do I need to see
cops getting off for murder on scripted tv when it happens far too often in real life. Part of me thinks this was taunting black people. Maybe I’m being extra but that ending really lowered my rating for this show.
. Between the ending and the annoying as fukk characters I can’t say I can take a second season.

shyt dragged on way too long. Wouldve been better as a movie. Some of the characters started doing straight dumb shyt near the end, especially the mom.

I think it was originally intended to be a movie or maybe I was thinking the same thing.

I think a lot of people missed the TRUE ending of this story.. but you have to know an important thing first. the creator and writer of the show, has said, this will be like True Detective. If there are more seasons, it will not be the same story or location or people.

So now you gotta look at the story and realize you don't get to see after this.. but we did we already see

Junkie didn't shoot up. The good cop knows that. He also saw the scratches on the latino cop's arm. So there's DNA evidence under her nails. He even speaks to both Mike and the other guy, and tells them as much. That he got them both on this evidence and latin dude was already close to snitching. He ain't built for this shyt.

Now we know it'll be an uphill battle to catch them.. And we won't see it and have to make it up ourselves. But it wasn't a closed case, "they got off and enjoy life" type of ending. You're supposed to be left with that open end and think "so what happens now". We don't know if dude will make it out alive in jail. Or if his family left. Or if they don't book the three on another murder.

All that could be true but the family only wanted to hear him admit to it and they never got that satisfaction also for all we know they could leave town or the country and never get caught.
