The only question with Jay is does he want to make a classic album again. He can go in there with Just Blaze and No Id right now and release a damn good album if he truly wants to. But i don't know if that's what Jay wants to do anymore. He's shooting for that billionaire status and an album like BP3 with songs like Run this Town and ESOM will get you there faster than a Reasonable Doubt will. I wouldn't be suprised if Jay didn't drop another album again. But then again this Jay-Z we talking about, he aint' giving up the spotlight at least till he bout 48-50 i think.

Jay can drop a .5 album and it has nothing to do with his legacy. He's not a full-time rapper at this point...at this point an album at all is a bonus to his fans.

KRS-One, Rakim, Kane, Kool G Rap, all types of dudes of his stature and in the same age range have no such expectation
yup

Nah..you do understand the the musicians that have reached legendary status,

The Bach's, The MJ's, The Mozart's etc. are those that did have the masses in the palm of their hand.

The legends arent the ones the minority are in support of. Thats just the truth of the matter.

So you gotta realize that being that art is subjective..and it is the musicians who have the masses that truly get acclaimed legendary status.

Thats just the way it is. Imo trying to win over the opinions of the minority is stupid, it wont get me the acclaim, the legendary status, the money etc., all it will do is win over the meaningless opinion of the minority in your favor that wont do much for ya.

Anyways Im content with what Jay has been putting out. You may not be but I am. Jay has given me soo much songs to bump to he could quit right now and I wouldnt even complain:steviej:

Watch The Throne was the best album last year and Watch The Throne tour was the best tour of all time and dude is 43 years got the president promoting him, you think he's worried about rappers that could be his sons? You think he's worried about Nas when he's inviting Nas to perform at his Carnegie Hall show cats paid 500-1000 bucks to see? He's not got to try to convince fakkits, the ones that are convinced are convinced and the ones that ain't after 2 decades, will never be.

Dumb ass nikkas, are in excess supply.

If dude was in his 30s or 20s, a dead beat dad and not 20+ years in the game with like 16 albums and probably more tours and rated #1 by almost every rapper and critic, THEN I would ask him what's good. People that have been fans of Jay since 96 are even surprised that he released more than 1 album.

If this dumb logic applied to everyone, it would mean that we should shyt on Shaq for not being as hungry as Dwight Howard in his last season. Nas is a special case, since he has to deliver to be able to feed his kids. Opportunity cost, is the price of the second best alternative you have to forgo to pursue something. And let's put it like this, Jay-z's opportunity cost of stressing hiphop albums is very high, extremely high. A lot higher than all the rappers you mentioned, combined.

Point proven, only dumb nikkas (or kids) think typos on forums has something to do with your intelligence (or that spelling in general would be highly correlated with intelligence).

:bryan: You think I'm clowin cause of spelling

Do you know how long a decade is?

Here ya go

Decade - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

:troll:

Typo as in typing 20 decades or 20 millenniums or centuries or whatever the fukk instead of 20 years. It doesn't take a lot to figure out that it should've been 20 years or 2 decades. A result of typing extremely fast in order to minimize the time wasted on stupid shyt.

If his next album don't deliver, you nikkas should never compare him to the god Nas again.

:comeon: Nas is not and will never be in Jay z class.

If jay dropped LIG he would get laughed at and people would be fired

Its sad how some don't hold Jay to high standards. BP3 might be his worst album. He was extremely lazy lyrically. He did his thing on WTT but I need a great solo album from Jay.
