That Watch the Throne album is 1. a collabo, 2. average..why do people hang on to that shiit?:stopitslime:

Jay is my third fav rapper ever..I bought Vol 1 back in 97..But how is it hate when I'm just stating the obvious..just tell me what he has done in the last 10 years to warrant such immunity when it comes to making wack ass music?

He gave us a good album in AG..5 fukkin years ago.
Dropped two HORRIBLE albums: KC and BP3
and a weak double disc, I'd give him a pass for that one since most double albums are too long and average.

"he's already the goat" is a pathetic reply too..why? he aint 88 yet..he can still make dope music..he just, imo doesnt give a fukk and his work ethic has taken a serious hit since that "retirement".

If his next album don't deliver, you nikkas should never compare him to the god Nas again.

His work ethic, or making music. Dude probably working harder than ever, but if its not music its irrelevant to you nikkas.

He just did 8 shows in 8 days, and nikkas still call him lazy.

Nah..I applaud for all the shows he's doing..he clearly enjoys performing and doing shows more right now.

How about getting in that booth and cooking up another masterpiece tho? :wtf:

Thats what you're simply not getting. BP3 and WTT were great albums. But because they dont appeal to your preference of subject matter you call them doodoo.

WTT was epic, and the general population agrees. You and this board full of underdog stans who want a bunch songs complaining about social problems may not dig it but in 10 years this generation will be calling those 2 records classics.

WTT will undeniably be called a classic just based of the general acclaim it received...the tour was incredible:wow:

It may not be your cup of tea. But thats cuz Jay is not the character you want in your Hip Hop.

Sure BP3 Jay got really experimental flow and production wise but it was imo a good album minus maybe 4 tracks

And WTT is a classic no doubt.

Realize this is a board where people say K dot's new album is a classic when in the real world this album will be forgotten in a week. Jus sayin:lolbron:

Jay Z has nothign else to prove..he's done it all,

He's survived the times, he's excelled in rapping over all types of production, His relevance multiplied by the longevity of his career is insane..and dnt even let me get started on his stats.

Anyways Jay-Z has proved he can do it all, all it is now is the concept Jay keeps talking about in his songs..The inevitable want for the downfall of the king. Thats what all the hating has become now, jus people grabbing for straws because they want Jay to fall. Most Kingz get their heads cut off:yeshrug:

And I hope Jay continues to remember this eternal truth that we are a people who will always be behind the underdog.
This board the biggest culprit, from the inconsistent standards set on two artists of the same genre, to the complete downplaying of an artist's traits, the truth is you can never please anyone.

And anyone trying to be an artist, trying to make everyone happy, you already lost because you are ignorant on the aspect of human nature.

OO yaa...Jay won:troll:

Say what you want, we have different opinions but the general public loved DOA, and Run this town wasnt HOT?? ur trippin:whoa: the general public loved Forever Young

Say what you want but that album will be remembered as a classic, maybe not on coli where ppl have such cynical tastes on music, but trust me it will be remembered as a classic

My argument still stands, your puny opinion dont mean squat, cuz inevitably all this will turn to is my opinion vs yours which is an argument neither can win, so you'll see me refer to the general populace in this discussion if we continue this discussion:shaq:

..its not even an option...all your peers are dropping sick albums, nas, common, lupe, kanye, lamar, ..and you sitting there rapping about your daughters room..:what:

i want some black album/blueprint1 quality

His peers? :damn: That you even put them against hov is blasphemy, their not even artist from the same era, not saying he is much better than them just that, it's like comparing Schoolboy Q to Slick Rick :leostare:

A nicca just trynna keep it real breh :manny:

waaaatt ..

Ag aint even relevant to this argument @ this point .. u cant compare

... u comparin a album Jay dropped several years ago , 2 a album and a host of features Nas did this year ??

jay is well past his prime n wont ever drop another classic face the facts b !!!

jay got a kid n wifed up b and has just lost that spark

nas kicked his bytch 2 the kurb and regained that ether !!

If losing half your money is the price to regain "that ether", im not sure if its worth the price.
