CNN still puts together the best live news package out there (sans some simple shyt like getting a name right) presentation wise. You might just see a nikka blow his own head off on Fox, MSNBC barely even does them. The networks are still great for your Sunday political shows. I'm a journalist.
CNN is a great news room to work in, I hear. Weekend work is a place to come up and Atlanta is way cheaper to live in than Chicago or New York so those entry level dollars stretch a bit more.
That's cool, I thought about doing journalism but I'm way too biased I'd rather not compromise integrity that field has long since been filled anyway.

yea I understand that. I wasn't advocating war just pointing out that news networks get high ratings as a result of war coverage as it interests many people whether they agree with it or not....we tune in to conflicts with high stakes.
Al Jazeera is dope, I like how they are international and have a strong focus on the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
al Jazeera was more raw when it first was in America, but it's still good for the most part. Reading the news is still 1000% better. Only thing CNN got is presentation, they shyt is crisp I can't even lie.

I see people on here actually complaining about cnn as if it isn't pound for pound one of the most garbage sources for news. Is it cuz its a name brand or sumn? Are people not aware of better news sources? I gotta know, my remote would never go to cnn or msnbc unless it was an absolute must. Aside from that, I'd rather watch people report the news over people sensationalizing and trying to sell me controversy as if the news is somehow also suppose to be entertaining or something.

for non-political news I can tolerate CNN and I appreciate that they dont disappear on the weekend like MSNBC. I fukk with MSNBC because even though they are basically a response to FOX they still investigate much better than FOX, and they dont sacrifice the truth in order to remain "non-partisan" like CNN does.

Anything major will have an Amber Alert or Break into ESPN or financial news coverage. I'm 28....only been able to find news entertaining the last couple of yrs as i'm not just sports, going to the bar, and video games anymore. I care about the economy, 401ks, and health tips now in days.
real news seemed so boring until it got relate-able as I got older. I was only interested in sports news, technology news, and video games news from like birth until age 26 or so.
